And one of the things I know is that it was a good thing that I went back to bed after I got up earlier around 7:00. I needed those few extra hours of sleep. And, alas, I'm feeling like I might need another hour or two.  Hmmm...

Today is Good Friday.

I don't have any Good Friday jokes.  Even I wont go there...

Well...  I will.  Sort of.

I did get a sly giggle out of the tweet from @jesus earlier this week:

Got a bad feeling about this week

And now... I think I'm going to take a walk to Duane Reade... Then head back here to take a(nother) nap.  or something resembling a nap.

Laters...

Friday afternoon greetings!  We slept until almost 10am today, late for Richard and unheard of for me.  I think the combination of sinus infection, big family dinner, and Easter weekend prep finally got the best of me.  We're having a quiet day here in Lima today.  Rob and Mary Linda will arrive in time for this evening's service and stay with us the rest of the weekend.

It is mighty stormy outside this morning!

Today I need to get myself to two different estate sales and then hop over to Marion County Dog control to pay Bosco's license fee.

TOD:

Netflix brought me a  1960s "made in Florida" double feature of JUST FOR THE THRILL OF IT and THE BLAST-OFF GIRLS. Perfect for a windy, rainy afternoon...that is if the electricity doesn't go out.

As for CD: Some more Johnny Desmond

In this morning's e-mail, a post that has been making the rounds.  Presumably, it's from an adult woman:

One day my mother was out and my dad was in charge of me.

I was maybe 2 1/2 years old. Someone had given me a little 'tea set' as
a gift and it was one of my favorite toys.

Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news when I
brought him a little cup of 'tea', which was just water. After several
cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea, my Mom came home.

My Dad made her wait in the living room to watch me bring him a cup of
tea, because it was 'just the cutest thing!' My Mom waited, and sure
enough, here I came down the hall with a cup of tea for Daddy and she
watched him drink it up.

Then she said, (as only a mother would know.. :)

'Did it ever occur to you that the only place she can reach water is the toilet?

It is pouring down rain here, and they are predicting hurricane force winds for the coast.

It is pouring down here as well.  I hope the rain doesn't turn into snow.

"A senior Vatican  priest speaking at a Good Friday service compared the uproar over sexual abuse scandals in the Catholic Church — which have included reports about Pope Benedict XVI’s oversight role in two cases — to the persecution of the Jews, sharply raising the volume in the Vatican’s counterattack."  ::)

In all fairness, here is the entire article & exclamation: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/03/world/europe/03church.html

TOD:

CDs--Original Cast- "Drowsy Chaperone"  and "Flower Drum Song"
(Not that the Drowsy Chaperone and Flower Drum Song had the same casts).

I actually have the London cast recording of "Flower Drum Song" with me here at work.  I just got it yesterday from the library. :)

Good Afternoon!

Well... Errands completed, and the walk outside was quite nice.  However, I still think a nap may be in order this afternoon.  We shall see.
