It's a rave! :)

'Brassy Broads’ delivers plenty of laughs

*Although, I don't think the set designer was going for "bordello-worthy".  However, since there are two numbers from The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas in the show, well... ;)

I would (page) dance, but, I think I'm going to crawl back under the covers for a cat nap right now instead.

Once again...

Friday morning greetings!  After a few errands here in town, I will make my way to downtown Cincinnati to pick up DR DakotaCelt.  Our first stop will be the rare books library at the University of Cincinnati for her to do some genealogy work and then - who knows?  Maybe the zoo, maybe the Museum Center at Union Terminal, maybe some Skyline, maybe some Graeters...

Not sure if this is going to work.  A friend is a Shrine Circus clown.  He thought he could make it to the meeting and go back to the circus but ended up staying all night.  It was hilarious when he got up to speak on behalf of some properties.  all the councilmen got out their cell phones and started snapping photos

Just click on it and you'll see him

That's a riot!

Very funny DR CILLA LIZ.....clowns at the meetings I go to don't always wear their work clothes.

Yes, it's always nice when you know who the clowns are right off the bat!

Good morning. I am going hiking with a botanist/photographer this morning whom I met on the butterfly walk last weekend. It will be a slow hike, but I am sure I will learn a lot.

I know you only booked recently. But if someone says they are claustrophobic is there no way that they can make sure that person has an aisle seat??

Shapiro's - isn't that downtown?  Maybe I should have stayed in my original hotel?  Although I really like the one I'm in and the Internet here is free.

I'm no longer working with two monitors.

The more I did it, the more I

HATED  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

it.

It was awkward and I just don't have enough room on my desk. I am now back to my one good monitor and I'm much happier!

Are they really that clueless department:  received an email today about a review I wrote probably close to 3 years ago (the review has the posting date right on it), asking me to provide a complete list of source music used in a documentary about the Stauffenberg plot to kill Hitler.  Yes, yes, I'll get right on that.  Oy.

My handy, dandy giganto CD case was indeed delivered yesterday, so I think Zach and I will begin assembling it today.  I also bought a nice maple credenza for the office that needs assembling.

Yes, Shapiro's is downtown - but I still think your hotel was the best choice.  There is no there there.

So don't have deli for lunch unless you want it twice in one day.

Good morning!

Pleasant here this morning, and it's warming up today in anticipation of the rain tomorrow. It's mostly cloudy outside right now, but I'll be inside for most of today since I ran my usual Friday errands yesterday instead.

Not eating lunch.  Did the treadmill for two miles and when Pogue arrives I think I might have some fruit to hold me over till our early dinner.

My work project for today is the Blu-ray version of RIDE WITH THE DEVIL. That's going to take a great portion of the afternoon since it's a long film, but the DVD looked so good that I'm REALLY looking forward to the high def version.

With my favorite show tonight MEDIUM airing a rerun (along with GHOST WHISPERER), I only have the season finale of SPARTACUS to record tonight. I believe this will be the slave revolt episode since the gladiators are getting to that state of rebellion now, so it promises to be a bloody massacre. Glad I'll be DVRing it so I can skim over the extreme graphic parts.

Need to get a copy of that "Rose Marie" with Julie Andrews. I loved it on vinyl and don't know where that copy is now.

TOD:

CD: "Lucky in the Rain," "South Pacific" original, Elton John sings "The Road to El Dorado."

DVD: "Funny Face," "The Commitments"

CD in the car: Slowly listening to Stephen King's "Under the Dome." Up to CD 7 of 30.

Here's a link to the story about the meeting last night http://www.siouxcityjournal.com/news/local/article_2d94a558-491b-11df-8be4-001cc4c03286.html?mode=story

He Who Hates Cats is quoted in this one http://www.siouxcityjournal.com/article_c5a9d52a-4920-11df-b27e-001cc4c03286.html
His initials are GW

The article has a lot of mistakes in it.  Like it was Thursday and not Monday when we went to the meeting.  The address on the Peletier Mansion is wrong, etc.  But at least there's a story
