Re: TOD.  First of all, any chili MUST NEVER HAVE BEANS!

I love my Cincinnati Chili. And I am very happy that I have a Gold Star close at hand near where I live.  I can also buy various varieties of Cincinnati chili in cans at the grocery.  What the unintiated really don't understand about Cincy chili is that it must sit atop something...a hot dog or spaghetti...and then must be topped with something...defintiely heaping mounds of shredded cheese...and, for me, onions.  If you eat Cincy chili undressed by itself in a bowl, you are likely to be disappointed, even though it will retain its excellent, unusual taste.  It is a Greek recipe.

I also like Texas chili, thick and meaty where the fork can stand up in the bowl.  There was a place in Dallas, Texas where I ate after a show once that had the best chili ever.  I do not remember its name and I suspect it no longer exist.

My wife actually makes an excellent turkey chili that requires Corona beer in it.  I love it when she makes a big pot of it along with corn bread and it lasts for days, so I can dole it out whenever I want.

I like both Cincy and Texas chili... It was wonderful... I may have to request some of the canned Gold star stuff through the grocery store here. I did buy  some seasonings at the airport.

I'm very glad as well.   I just knew that Sheena really seemed to like the Boxers at the dog park more then any other breed.

I didn't really want a pure bred because of all the medical problems I've heard about and that they don't live very long.

I'm very happy with a mix as long as there is no Pit.

TOD - I'm a Skyline 4-way bean (spaghetti, chili, beans, cheese) kind of gal, but really prefer my homemade chili.  It's very tomatoey and a double recipe is just right for the crockpot.

I may have to try that combo with the seasonings I got...

I had spaghetti, chili, cheese....

I didn't know  you have to renew every year.  So all this time I though Sheena was covered.  Yikes!

Look at all the lost souls this evening. Welcome back, everyone!

I am loving Season Three of BONES! It's a realy styrong season. I just watched the one about Bones' father's trial for murder. I had no idea Ryan O'Neal would be found innocent; it was a wonderful episode, and so was the one before it, about the baby Andy and the depressed areas of West virginia. On to the next one, I guess.

And it's very sad to say that there were just as many pure breeds at the pound as well as mutts, including Boxers.   There were two around the time I found Toby but one hated women and the other had to be an "only" dog.

Jane - I did work, and i am feeling better, thanks for asking.  I was awfully tired, having only gotten about 4 hours of sleep, though.  It was almost 3 before I was finally able to drift off, and I was up at 6.  I have no idea what caused those cramps, but it was not fun!

Laura, I must tell you a story about the dinosaur you sent Toby when he was first born.  He still loves it, and just recently began to figure out what noise went with it.  It often stands on the floor of the playroom downstairs, and each time he sees it he goes over, crouches down so that he is nose to nose with it, and roars the most ferocious roar that a 19 month old can produce.  Then he walks away, confident that he has again shown it who is boss.

Great baby and dog photos. Hope we don't have to try to figure out who or which is cuter.

Am finishing up the first season of "1st Ladies Detective Agency." Jill Scott makes a great Mma Ramotswe, but it's Anika Noni Rose that steals the show.
