Just unplugged the DVR for a minute or so and have now replugged - it's doing its thing.

I gave my brother's computer a similar treatment last week....with a positive result.  Sometimes a power surge or a brief interruption in electric service causes problems, I guess.

I watched THE LOVELY BONES last night on DVD.

The first half-hour was great.  It really grabbed me.  Then, they got into all that cgi crap and the thing just dwindled away.

This is the kind of movie that really irks me, because the story had great potential and they blew it.

However, the performances were excellent.  Saoirse Ronan could become the Meryl Streep of her generation.

I remember seeing her perform in-person back in the 1960s.  She was fantastic.

But, I cannot remember where.  Possibly Las Vegas, but I'm not really sure.

My question for ASK BK day.....when you have written a musical and it is licensed by an organization such as R/H - are you paid your royalties by the production, or is it done on a quarterly or annual basis?

I have sound again! My wonderful colleague curtis called me from his vacation and talked me through it. Now if the damned fax would work.

I saw Andrea back in 1988 or 89 when I was doing STRIKE UP THE BAND in LA (whatever happened to that idiot director? dead, I hope)) and thought she was great. I haven't seen her in some time. She can be pitchy.

DR ELMORE I was able to use my WavEditor to start Nick Lucas' "Always" exactly where I need to for the play.

And I will use DR DtM's versions as scene change music, once the songs has been established in Act One Scene Two as part of the play....

Thanks again, gentlemen!

We get quarterly statements.  However, we were paid an advance for the rights, so the royalties won't kick in for a while.

Speaking of DARK SHADOWS, this week I've picked up another of the many unread books from my home library and this week's selection is an autobiography of Grayson Hall.

It's a badly written book about a very disagreeable woman who probably got the career she deserved.

I love reading about show biz!

I've just pre-ordered the Blu-ray disc for "Lost: The Final Season" -- it comes out in late August.

Well...  I was hoping to accomplish some errands in downtown Richmond this afternoon, but since downtown Richmond is currently dealing with a power outage... Nevermind.

My BVD (that's my designation for Blu-ray Video Discs) of "Avatar" and "The Young Victoria" should both arrive today.  I hope.

Plus, I'm also expecting the Mary Martin CD of "Cinderella".
