That picture is scary.

It has to be in response to DR FJL's lyrics.....or should be.

MR BK - did I seem to have a southern accent to you?

You could partner her for an Indiana Disco event!

Elmore,  I believe the score to OH, WHAT A LOVELY WAR was once released once on Vinyl.  I remember listening to it in a friend's apartment

You are correct! I thought the question was about never released on DVD. I'm bummed we've never had a CD release, and i would like it very much. At least with GEORGY GIRL, I am speaking about a never-released soundtrack recording.

"Oh! What A Lovely War" has been released on DVD.

I meant "never released on CD." I want the soundtrack recording of "Oh, What A Lovely War!"

That's a great card for DR Sandra, MBarnum. She is quite a wild partier, you know. You should have her tell the story about the time we took her to a bar.

Did she come home and wake up in bed with a horse, like in the card?

I thought that was your dream, DR MBarnum!

Dreams of a departed loved one, DR ELMORE - can mean contact with someone from the past is forthcoming - or a longstanding problem will be resolved.

That's interesting. Thank you, DR JRand69! And thanks for the program and DVD!

Jrand - But snappy movie dialogue can't hold a candle to snappy Broadway dialogue

Mickey Rooney in Sugar Babies -

-Isn't that Hortense?

- I don't know - She looks pretty relaxed to me

Not really - some sort of slight accent, though.

AVATAR comes out on Blu-ray today, so I'm expecting the Fox review copy today, and if it comes, that'll be today's work project. It's a movie-only release; no bonus features at all, so watching it will take the time it takes but no more since there is nothing else to see.

So far, no UPS deliveries.

I'm curious how they are doing it with the 3D thing. Will there be any versions that are the 3D version or is only out in regular.

Only being released in 2-D for the present.

Little Shop of Horrors has arrived!!

Quote
CD will ship by the last week of May – however, preorders placed directly through Kritzerland usually ship one to five weeks earlier (we’ve been averaging four weeks early).

What a frustrating day this has been.

I've been reviewing DVDs and Blu-rays for over three years and I get quite a number of the review copies via UPS or FedEx rather than U.S. Mail. Today, for the first time ever, the UPS man didn't leave the package at the door, but left a non-delivery slip saying they'd try to deliver again tomorrow. I wonder if Fox made it mandatory that the discs be handed to someone rather than left at a residence, or maybe I just have a substitute driver who isn't used to the route and decided not to take a chance.

Whatever, my review of AVATAR will be a day after street date due to this. If Fox had only alerted us that someone would have to receive the package, I'd have stayed home today and not gone out to lunch.

Damn!

Before leaving for lunch, I watched another BONES episode. This was the one with the dead basketball player found under the bleachers. I loved Tempi's outrage over the students' lack of interest in academics: "This is a terrible university." As many times as I see this, it still makes me laugh out loud.

As promised, here is information on the potential for a very fun NW HHW gathering.  This could be the start of a whole new career for BK ;):

RAVE IN THE NAVE ANNOUNCES ITS 2010-11 SEASON OF PERFORMING ARTISTS:

November 13         Bruce Kimmel
Television star, feature film writer and director, best-selling author, legendary Grammy nominated producer of Broadway cast albums—Bruce Kimmel has done it all in a career spanning several decades and areas of expertise.  Now with his memoirs newly published, Bruce comes to Portland with a fun multi-media presentation that looks over a long and varied life in show business.

December 11   Time Out!  The Holiday Edition
Back for their second appearance in Rave in the Nave, the hilarious Moms of the Time Out troupe, headlined by Jacki Kane and Betsy Kauffman, bring some much needed laughter and stress relief to one of the busiest times of the year.

I'll be there!! ;D

Last night via an e-mail, a friend asked me what I thought of BABEL. I had to admit that although I've had the HD-DVD version for a couple of years (it came with my HD-DVD player), I'd never taken the time to watch it.

Shamed into it, I watched it this afternoon. Not a very feel good movie, is it? Harrowing. Quite memorable in all but one of the multi-plot storylines. I really HATED the story of the deaf-mute Japanese teen who's seeking some kind of acceptance and feelings of being wanted, but everything else really held me riveted.

BABEL was so long that I didn't have time to watch anything else including today's AS THE WORLD TURNS with Luke and Reid (which I'll watch when I go back downstairs) and last night's BIG GAY SKETCH SHOW.

It works best when you've been following the show - it's so perfectly "typical".

The best one is her reaction to the student who admitted to not using protection.
