This morning I listened to an ootlegbay of Encores' ANYONE CAN WHISTLE.  Donna Murphy and Sutton Foster are both absolutely terrific and the show is lively and fun when they are on.  But whenever Raul Esparza enters, things begin to wilt and die a slow death.  I swear, the guy just sucks the life out of anything he touches...

And his vibrato simply slays me. . .I cannot take his vibrato.  at all.  and he uses it with such frequency on the ootlegbay which I have. . .

Well, that's just great! The UPS driver did come by and dropped off the package. Didn't ring the bell; didn't ask for a signature, just dropped it at the door and left.

WTH!!!Why couldn't he have done this yesterday?

Because it tickled him to wait a day.

Printed out the orders that have come in thus far and looking outside, despite the dire prediction of the channel seven newsman, I see nothing but gorgeous blue skies and sunshine.

Original text:

"Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary, over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore-- While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping, as of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door."

...54 translations later we get:

"Weakness, fatigue, dark autumn night, fun, and I remember the letter, after many Games - and the city is easy ploysing camera science."

Well, I have been out of it for several days. Am in Louisville and trying to get work done, which means I'd rather be doing anything but work. My parents' house has no cable, no Internet, no nothing, so I'm at a Borders using the free Wi-Fi. Dad had an endoscopy this morning and seems to have come out of it well , which is a relief. Will be working on the next issue of the magazine in any free moment I can snatch.

On the MP3: "The Grand Tour" and "The Nervous Set."

Don't remember what's in their DVD collection. May watch "Philadelphia Story" later. I watch that every time I come home for a visit.

Love the Grayson Hall photo. I know she had her glorious career, but I will always remember her from "Dark Shadows." That's where I first encountered her.

Good Afternoon!

Well... I've restored a good number of my "User Permissions" and "User Settings"... -Which were, until yesterday morning, things I hadn't and didn't have to deal with on my Mac(s).  However, it has been interesting finding files that have been "hiding" on my hard drive from my first iMac - which was about seven years and three laptops ago.

Just another in the long line of reasons why I don't do Facebook.

Sorry, I just had to say that.

Police found the suspect - who had used his weapon on himself.....sad story.

Not many other details as yet, but they think he acted alone in the two robberies....a liquor store and a bank.

I was having much more fun this time last week....and the weather was much nicer, too - even though MR BK was certain we were having a monsoon.

MR BK also has neglected to mention that while driving to the theatre we saw the famous cows waiting to come home.

Watch carefully the beginning of this video & you can see the dog checking that the police car is following:

Smart policeman to follow the dog. :)
