Of course, I have my usual Friday errands to run, but I don't dare leave the house for fear I'd miss any UPS deliveries. I HATE being in this position!

And I just went to the UPS site to make sure the driver didn't indicate that he had tried to make a second delivery attempt. It says "out for delivery," so I'll take that for what it's worth for the time being.

Most of my screeners come USPS.  Occasionally I get UPS or FedEx deliveries, but not that often.

Betsy performed last evening with a comic up from L.A., who told her her set was perfect for tv!  The guy couldn't reveal details, but he is on this summer's iteration of LAST COMIC STANDING, one of our favorite reality shows.

Well, that's just great! The UPS driver did come by and dropped off the package. Didn't ring the bell; didn't ask for a signature, just dropped it at the door and left.

WTH!!!Why couldn't he have done this yesterday?

Good morning, all! Last night, my neighbor left around 10pm and didn't return until about 40 minutes ago. The dog barked from 10:30 to around 11:15 and then became quiet. I slept very soundly all night until around 9:45 this morning, about 10 hours. I clearly needed it.

Today, I have to hit the NYPL, run a few errands, and accomplish the rest of the Oz Act Two edits. Tonight, my friend Chris and I are seeing THE KID, based on Dan Savage's book, on Theatre Row. The score is by Andy Monroe, who wrote the score to THE TRAGIC & HORRIBLE LIFE OF THE SINGING NUN, the show for which Chris who played the drums.

TOD:
DVD: The Netflix items still sit here and I have no idea now why I ordered any of them
CD: Songs of the Civil War, several McGlinn performances, Custer Laruse and the Baltimore Consort, rugby antics in pubs
  VCR: usual smut

Criterion is the only one which uses the USPS on occasion (usually when they're sending single discs rather than a stack of releases.) The others that are my responsibility never use the USPS.

OK, I'm just fed up with the ancient, slow computer, so I'm going to close it down and get ready to head out on my usual Friday errands.

Well - that was interesting.  About an hour ago, we heard a loud KA-BLOOEY!!! from outside and our power went off.  We're back now and very thankful that it didn't drag on for days and days.  Must have been a blown transformer that was easy to fix.

Even with rubber grips on the handles?  Maybe I like them because I have small hands & they are lighter weight than regular pliers.

MATT H

One Of My Favorite TV Series was CHICAGO HOPE

Do You Have Any Idea When that Series will be released on DVD??

I don't, DR Arnold. I haven't read anything about an upcoming release. The studio must not have gotten much interest in it from surveys and fan requests because I never see it talked about like other series that were on during those same years.

MattH -If it did come out -what Company would put it out?

Richard just received a recorded message from our power company that said the outage was caused by an animal coming into contact with their equipment and 58 customers were without power.  Probably didn't turn out well for the animal.

A DVD I might be ordering shortly is one of Grayson Hall's early film appearances, SATAN IN HIGH HEELS.  Here is a clip featuring the song stylings of HEEL's star, Meg Myles.

This morning I listened to an ootlegbay of Encores' ANYONE CAN WHISTLE.  Donna Murphy and Sutton Foster are both absolutely terrific and the show is lively and fun when they are on.  But whenever Raul Esparza enters, things begin to wilt and die a slow death.  I swear, the guy just sucks the life out of anything he touches...

Evidently, the release of THE MOTHERS-IN-LAW on DVD has been pushed back until July.  EVENING PRIMROSE is also delayed a month...
