SPOILER

I believe characters dying on LOST ceased being a spoiler several years ago.  ;)

And the headline of that TV Guide story did not list any specifics.

Greetings from Toyland! There were some very important finds this morning concerning ZIP GOES A MILLION and the original 1925 NO NO NANETTE!

I also spent a lot of time listening to unidentified CDs; most were blank.

BK, if you meet MBarnum on Friday and it's not too close to show time, I'd love to join you.  Maybe if TCB and Ann (and maybe Jed) come down early enough, we could have our own little pre-show HHW gathering...if everyone's interested.  That could be an option if those who are driving back home after the show don't want to stay out too late. :)

Totally up for it - we could even do it at four-thirty so you have plenty of time.

Sorry I've been out of it again. Work at the census is crazy and I'd really like to get at least 80 hours of work in this week because the overtime is too good to be refused. So, I've been working 14- to 15-hour days, running home, sleeping and running back to work.

I'm glad it's Ask BK Day, because if anybody asked me a question, about all I could do would be to diddle my lower lip. A sport I'll admit being fairly good at on occasion.

So, here's the question: BK, will you go see/have you seen the revival of "Promises, Promises"? The reviews seemed to have confirmed all preliminary chatter about the show. My big issue is: Why was "Turkey Lurkey Time," from what I hear, being staged as if sung by three no-talented bimbos who just sucked up some helium? This could be the big showstopper, as far as dancing is concerned, yet it's being treated like a joke. And it's landing little applause.

Nope, no need to see any production of Promises, Promises that does not respect the material - don't want or need to hear two Bacharach and David hits that have nothing to do with the show, don't need to see the crass sop to Mad Men by moving the time period of the MUSICAL back six years, and don't need to see chorus boys added to what was and always should be a joyous solo number for the leading man.

Congrats to MR BK on the Amazon review.

My question for ASK BK day.....Will you be bringing your own box of books to signings?

I can bring (and/or send books ahead) or stores can order them the regular way through Baker and Taylor or Ingram's (unsold books are fully returnable at any time if ordered through the latter).

I'm up, I've answered a few Ask BK Day questions, and I'm trying to figure out how to approach several dicey topics for our meeting re the long musical this morning.

I really must have been tired whilst writing these here notes last night - of course this is not only Cinco de Mayo, but it is also thirty-five years since filming began on The First Nudie Musical!
