I bought a MyBook II storage for the office.  It's great, it connects to the network and automatically backs up both Edith and I and has a second drive for a mirror image.  I still have to take a back-up from her computer home with me, just in case something happens to the building, but this is great.  I just installed it and it's backing up both of our computers at the same time.  Cool

Back from the Hills of Beverly - all it takes is one trip down there to remind me why I NEVER go there.  They have so screwed up the streets with one-way deals that it is impossible to easily get to where you need to get to.  I parked five blocks away just to avoid actually having to deal with any of it.  So, I had a nice little walk and did my stuff and now I am back home for a bit.

ENTOURAGE, Season 6, arrived today, as well as BROOKLYN'S FINEST and NEW YORK CONFIDENTIAL.

So, that's what I'll be watching this weekend.

BK, whenever I went to Bev Hills, I always took lots of quarters, just parked at those metered parking lots right there on Little Santa Monica and just walked into Bev Hills.

I parked just north of Santa Monica on Bedford - free one-hour street parking.

I been listening to Academy Award wining and nominated songs. I have to wonder how some of these songs ever got nominated, I assume some of them are because who wrote them. They old guard like to nominate and vote for the old guard. Which explains songs from The Stepmother, Whiffs and Half a House.

But how could they nominate "My Wishing Doll" only 30 seconds of the song is heard and that thirty seconds begins somewhere in the middle and abruptly ends when someone walks into the room.

A mama robin keeps visiting the stump of the tree that's just been removed from our yard.  I hope her nest wasn't in the high branches  :'(

Maybe she just likes sitting on the stump

I like your reasoning. :)

DR Matthew, condolences on the loss of your grandmother.  I'm glad she didn't suffer at the end.  You were lucky to have her so many years.

Bruce, good news on the invoices.  My guess, she was afraid & embarrassed to see you in person.

Oh, I think the helper will never call and give a reason for her behavior, despite her telling her mother she would.  No, she's too busy posting her Facebook updates and saying things like "girl power - I'm going to the beach" and exciting stuff like that.

Missed it somehow.  Hope you've got lots of shredded cheese and onions.

HWHC told me he's going to be doing some plumbing work on one of his restoration projects this weekend....pumbing you say???  I happen to need to have a little repair in the basement bathroom before the big hoard of bike riders stay in my yard in July.  He said it would only take him 20 minutes to do a job like that...I said "good, then you'll do it for me?"    He said yes.   I like this guy more all the time, lol.

Found what I missed.  Sounds like you're prepared.  I going to have to send you some Skyline and and Dixie Chili care packages and then you can compare which you like best.  I find any are fine, but I have a slight preference for Dixie...It could be because they stay open all night and there's nothing like a coney at three in the morning.
