Well, I'm off.  The Olympia Audition League, in which Theater Artists Olympia participates, is having a musical audition workshop tonight.  Anything to help...I hate auditions. :P But I know that they're necessary.

Until later!

For DR Cillaliz (and DR Jane when she watches the movie) The GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO

MOVIE/BOOK SPOILER

I'm curious what you both think about one major plot point that was changed from the book.
1. Erika was barely in the movie (mikael's sometime lover and owner of millenium). She was only in it at the beginning and end, they never showed her visiting him, or even them being lovers.
2.And because of #1 i remember near the end of the book lisbeth saw mikael and erika kissing and she freaked when she realized she loved him. But none of this happened in the movie. Which is sort of weird because this seemed sort of important for the book. one two three four and then there were more one two three dour and then there were more

CONTINUED SPOILER

DON'T READ ANYMORE IF YOU DON"T WANT TO KNOW
I noticed it and the fact that they left out his tryst with the Cecelia Vanger.  The relationships really are pretty irrelevant to the plot if you take this movie as one isolated movie.  You knew there was something going on with Erika at the beginning, just not what it was.  It didn't bother me at all.  I rather liked it this way.

When we upgrade our DVD system we will probably switch to Blu-Ray and also set something up to download movies to play on the tv.  Not that I have plans to do this in the near future.

Brilliant, DR Druxy.

Where was the voice at the time?

We were doing Williams' original 3rd act, the one in which "Big Daddy" does not appear on stage.

He was sitting offstage, following in the script, but his thumb was covering the cue where he was supposed to moan.

He was a marvelous "Big Daddy," though.

I never cared for that version of CAT.  I think I got spoiled by that great scene between Brick and Big Daddy in the film.

And now for something completely different, and to cheer up DR Elmore (I hope).  I've been learning to use my scanner today and have created an album of photographs from the production of YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN, for which DR Elmore made me try to learn to sing.  Here's the album on Facebook:

You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown

I take it you weren't Snoopy.

DR Cillaliz, re: THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATOO.

How did you watch it that you didn't have both the English subtitles and the English dubbed version? (since I assume the dvd has both).

I would be curious to watch it both ways.

I downloaded a rental from Amazon on my Roku.  It was the first time I did an Amazon rental so I had a $10 credit and got it free.  It's usually $2.99 to rent.  You download and can watch it for 3 days, but you have to pick how you want to view it and you don't get the specials, just the movie.  You do get it immediately however

But you have to watch it on your computer instead of on your tv?  I would not like this part.

Why?

Soft means not sharp and detailed, verging on out of focus.

Eddie Mekka has done Grease before - with Cindy Williams - it played the Greek here.  Non-union tour - they both got fined huge by Equity.
