People are very happy we made CD 2 available as a standalone release.  I've only had one e-mail from someone who said "you have called into question your limited editions"

I explained to him that if I wanted to "call into question our limited editions" I could have simply done a second edition (so noted) of the two CD set - but because I didn't want to call into question anything, I purposely kept this to the remixed version - hence, anyone who has the two CD set still has an extreme rarity as they have the only CD with the original LP mix.  Of course, one never receives a response.

I think I'm ready to watch Nightfall, and then either another noir or I'll finish Jason and the Argonauts.  Speaking of Jason, Jason Robert Brown ordered Promises this very day.  In fact, several notables did.

LOL  No, with adults.   :)

RLP - Joe e-mailed me asking who "Rich" was and I told him.

I am NOT Rich.

Am I the only person from this site that has been invited (twice) to the McKenzie Mortuary Estate Sale tomorrow in Long Beach?

What a long involved day, but it's done now.

Long day here...haven't even had breakfast yet! I've been running since I took PEter to the airpot at 8 this morning. (Then they cancelled his flight!) But we finished the trailer for the film and the final version should be up shortly. Here's the penultimate version if anyone would like to take a look---we have made some minor fixes since this one. It's always a little weird cutting the trailer for your own film:

Very nice, Amy!  It still amazes me to think that there was racism against Jews here in America.

Well, you don't have to look farther than my little town of Marietta, home of the Leo Frank Lynching!  Even since I've lived there I've seen it. A nice old neighbor lady whom I used to call "Tenspeed" met my friend Mark Cohen once and later asked me if he was "Jewish or White". WTH??? I had never heard that distinction before but apparently it was pretty common, in the Deep South anyway. (Where "deep"often doesn't refer to intelligence!)

Oh I know it happened.  I have read a great deal about it in recent years. But I am still totally amazed by it.

Page two MURDER IN THE BLUE ROOM dance.

Oooh....June Preisser.   Does she do any flips in this one?

Indeed she does.

Did you know she died in a car accident? Very sad.

What is it about this poster? Their heads don't look like they belong to their bodies. (Not to mention the disembodied heads below.) And the one on the left is quite risqué.

DVD
3rd season of MAD MEN.  Indeed it is a great show.
SISTER ACT THE MUSICAL: unfortunately it will only play on my computer, but, it's a good, good show.

CD
PROMISES, PROMISES, disc two.  Can't stop listening to it.
Also, this past week I bought an FM Converter for my IPod, so now I carry my Ipod with me whenever I travel and I just usually hit shuffle and see what comes up. . .

BOOKS
BEAUTIFUL MARIA OF MY SOUL - Oscar Hijuelos - sequel/prequel to THE MAMBO KINGS SING SONGS OF LOVE
FOOL - Christopher Moore - humorous, bawdy look at Shakespeare's KING LEAR from an unexpected point of view.
EVERY MAN DIES ALONE - Hans Fallada - compelling semi-fictional account of one man's work in the Resistance.

after I'm through with those, I'm delving into some science fiction, all by Dan Simmons:
ILIUM
OLYMPOS
HYPERION

Richard and I are going to do a bit of touring around NE Ohio and attend a couple of days of the Ohio Chautauqua in Ashland.

Sounds like my town except for the Ohio part. ;)

DRs - Richard and I will both have our laptops with us and will offer DR Elmore the opportunity to check in here.  If nothing else, I can convey messages to him.  We're staying in the same hotel.

I like that you are at the same hotel. :)

She stopped making it in the summer...it's going to be the fall before she cranks it up again, but when she does I'll send you her flavors and you can choose! (I liked the dark chocolate cherry she experimented with and am trying to get her to do a salted caramel one this year.)

Nothing is scheduled in Texas yet but maybe when we start our theatrical release in November it will come there. Our western schedule so far (besides LA and SF) are in Tucson and "Greater Phoenix".

I think I'll start a FB page for the film to send out updates. In the meantime, here's the list so far:

Thanks and hope it comes your way soon!

Next Thursday. Here's a nice article the Jerusalem Post did on the film:
