Has anyone looked up the value of the first English editions of the Millennium trilogy (the first edition of these books in English was in the UK).  There is currently a set of the three books on the ABE - signed by the translator - $13,966.  Naturally, that dealer will be sitting on those books for the rest of his life.  The next set, also signed, is over $4K.  The cheapest fine/fine copy of the first book is over $1200.

I suppose I shall go pick up the dry cleaning and perhaps do a few errands and whatnot.

Well, whoever paid $1,500,000 to be your neighbor, might spend $14K for some books.

Thanks for posting the Elmore pictures, Ginny! He looks very handsome in his suit!

Hope you like the trailer, when you get a better connection!

Perhaps you should hint to Mr. Guy Haines that he consider the song for his next CD.

Nice bookcover DR DRUXY....I look forward to reading the book.

DR EDISAURUS....I LOVE the trailer.....great editing and GREAT music!  Congrats.....Oscar contender, I am telling right now!

Thanks for the comments, guys! The ending music was written by my friend Michael Roth. bk met him at our SACCO AND VANZETTI screening. (He collaborates with Alice Ripley.) He's Randy Newman's music director, and since I used so much of Randy's music as temp track, he seemed like a logical choice to score the film. We got a lot of great music with a tiny budget and very small ensemble.

I wonder if they would submit it for an Oscar? It doesn't seem like something that would get nominated but then again, I never imagined the Mercer doc would get an Emmy nomination! (I wish I could take more joy in that...)

Loved the trailer, Amy.  I had two tickets to the ballgame this afternoon that I gave away.   Now I wish I'd kept them; I'm inpspired to go watch baseball.

The worst experience I've had with someone else having a song stuck in their head was when my dad whistled the first line of "Christmas is coming the geese are getting fat"  over and over and over for a 2 1/2 hour drive.  AHHHH!

Today I got a check I've been waiting for from the government (whew!), Promises, Promises (yeah), a birthday card from my parents with a gift card, and the wonderful news that my handyman's crew will be over on Monday to start working on the windows and other odd jobs I have for them outside.  This is going to be so worth it.

It has turned into a wonderful day.  I did realize that I just have 2 weeks before the 25 people will be camping in my yard and if bad weather in the basement.  SO - I'm off to the basement to finish cleaning and organizing.  I should be able to wrap it up today.  I think I'll use my new steam vac and do 1/2 the big room now and then 1/2 later today or tomorrow (after the first 1/2 dries).  This is going to be so nice to have a clean and usable basement again

TOD - I don't have a song in my head right now, but I have had many many many times.  It's usually what I hear on the radio right before I go into work.  I had Always Look on the Bright Side of Life in my head for a very long time, I hope just saying it doesn't bring it back.   Oh I had When I Fall in Love, for a while. There have been countless others. I hate it when it's something like The Lion Sleeps Tonight, but that's happened more than once lol

Think "Disneyland" - that'll do the trick

We took DR Elmore on a little adventure today to the Harry London Quality Chocolates factory store, where we all sampled some chocolates and shopped a bit.  On the way back to downtown Canton, we found another confectioner that had my "holy grail," dark chocolate raisin clusters.  Back downtown we visited a used paperback bookstore and picked out a place to have dinner.  It's right next to the theater where we'll see THE WIZARD OF OZ and within walking distance of our hotel.  Everyone is relaxing a bit before we start our trek up there in about an hour.

My neighbor's gal pal is out there parading around topless again - she just doesn't seem to care if there might be others who can see her do so - each time I walk by my bedroom window I'm greeted by perky breasts.  I went outside to sit near the pool and read and was humming loudly so she'd know there was someone around - but it just doesn't phase her.
