Here are two more. The top one is the quilt she made for her son and my nephew Tim and the bottom one is held by my nephew Matt (Tim's brother) and niece Alison.

The show curtain for FINIAN'S RAINBOW was a quilt and it was wonderful. I wanted the show to run so Jo could come to see it.

Yes, DR Elmore, that FINIAN'S RAINBOW curtain sure was beautiful!

I had another hostile round of emails with a former DR this morning, one of DR Noel's nemeses on another chatboard.

Steve Newport was a DR?   ;D

No. One of Stevie's best friends is a former DR.

Buzzy or Bebe or whatever his name was?

Or Spelvin?

It's not the one who stopped posting because of the new format, was it?

He's English and he never posted here under the new format

Oh.  That one.  The Academic.  I thought he was Canadian.

Experiencing strangely colored skies here now.  Distant thunder.  Half of the sky is bright and blue.  Another portion is full of fluffy white clouds, while yet the final portion is dark, dark storm clouds.

I saw Andy Devine in a movie last night:  I watched MYRA BRECKINRIDGE.  I thought of BK when I saw Hamburger Hamlet in the opening credits.

So, BK, what's the non-Kritzerland soundtrack for which you are doing the liner notes?

My mother is a quilter.  She used to do the square by square kind, now she does quilted blankets, throws and wall hangings.

I always wanted to do a quilt. May do a small one one of these days, when I have a moment to breathe.

Beautiful quilts, DR Elmore.

My inner little old lady has always been fascinated by quilts and quilting.

Ah, Steve Newport, a blast from the past.  On RATM he once posted that I was dead to him, because I pointed out that he was expressing a jejune attitude in one of his countless posts.  I responded, "Call me Lazarus."

Through some computer savvy friend, Steve managed to track down my home telephone number.  Since this is a family site, I shall not discuss the kind of conversations Steve wanted to have with me.

I came home tonight to find a lovely package: the CD release of the 1958  City Opera revival of Marc Blitzstein's REGINA.  Has anyone else ordered this?

I'm a fan of quilts.  Thank you DR elmore for sharing Jo's artwork.

I'm very proud of her. She's a wonderful, down-to-earth lady who's everything Lady M is not: kind, a good mother, practical, modest. I've always believed my brothers married one of our parents; Randy married Jo, who's very much like my father: unconditional love, practical, warm, sincere, honest. Macbeth married our mother: conditional love, narcissistic, insincere, jealous, conniving.

Interesting.  At least you got one of each and not both like Mrs. Macbeth.

That's alright, DR td--I shudder at the levels I stooped to when dealing with that jackass.  Well, in the end, he won out and managed to drive everyone who ever disagreed with him away from the once thriving, once lively RATM.  Aside from himself and the academic Farrow, there's only three or four other regular posters.  For some reason, DR Noel also posts there.

My manager in work left yesterday for a three week vacation with his family in Ireland, so it falls to me to handle all of his projects and staff as well as my team.  I might not be able to post as much during the daytime because I spend almost all of my time at the office in endless meetings.  It's going to be a long three weeks...

So, BK, what's the non-Kritzerland soundtrack for which you are doing the liner notes?

Billy Wilder's Avanti.  I could have done the soundtrack but it's all Italian popular music with no original scoring.

Lunch was grand and produced some grand information - a new Kritzerland project that will make so many people jump for joy.  It has a connection to another recent Kritzerland project and has finally become possible to do.  I've put it on the fast track and we could announce as soon as next Monday.

I haven't heard that. I love Blitzstein's music. How is it?

I really like Regina but I'll wait to hear about the quality first - I have a couple of Arkiv releases that don't sound very good.
