Question about the London recording of PROMISES (2):

Is the "Anthony Roberts" of that production the same actor we know here as "Tony Roberts," who did the show in Los Angeles and also a lot of movies with Woody Allen (e.g. ANNIE HALL)?

Along these same lines, is the friend you mentioned "Denny Miller" the Dennis Miller from SNL?

Yep.

I guess, when you're playing the West End, you have to be more "dignified".

 ::)

I saw him do ARSENIC AND OLD LACE in NY.

"Tony" fits him much better than "Anthony".

I don't know a "Denny Miller".

Are you sure it was me?

Unless I said "Hello" to him at one of Ray Courts' autograph shows, I don't know former Tarzan Denny Miller.

However, he is definitely not Dennis Miller of SNL.

Denny Miller is a friend of DR Charles Pogue, and he played Tarzan in the MGM remake of TARZAN THE APE MAN of 1959.

Is anybody on this board familiar with a NY actor, Walter Hudson?

He played Al Jolson in my 1-person play back in 1996 in Sarasota, FL.

I saw him in NY a couple of years later, but have since lost touch with him.

Thanks.

The samples of the next release sound wonderful, Bruce.

Can't wait to hear this London cast album!

In the "Is anybody watching..." department:

Is anyone watching SyFy's "Haven" based on Stephen King's "The Colorado Kid"?  I'm really enjoying the series.

Big Brother 12:

For those of you watching, do you get the sense that Matt is playing more for himself than for his "The Brigade" alliance?  The secrecy in which the four wrap themselves preclude them all hanging out in the HOH room for hours at a time.  That'a good thing, I think.

I think I mentioned I bought an iPod Nano one week ago Sunday.  I really enjoyed using it at the Gym last week.

I spent a goodly portion of yesterday reloading it with other music.

And, of course, once I download something onto iTunes, I just have to listen to a few tracks (or ALL of an album).

The iPod is quite wonderful.   Don't know why I put off getting one for so long.

Yes DR JANE - the kitten with the stripe patches, I guess that is the best way to describe them rather than "stripes."

Great Sherlock & Co photos.

They are unusual markings. :)

Thanks.

I watched the first episode. It airs here on a channel called Showcase. It says it is a showcase original. Does that mean that they made it? Or with SyFy network?

I thought the first episode was just so-so. Did it get better?

DR Jane, I am surprised that the little girl would put out her hands to you and keith. She must really like you.  My niece only puts out her hands to the 5 people she comes into contact with a lot. She cries when people she doesn't know want to pick her up.

She was great right from the beginning & has a wonderful temperment.  We were rather charmed by her.  It is a special treat for us to be around children.

Has anybody here seen this new show on A&E called THE GLADES. I think it premiered 2 weeks ago and they replay it throughout the week (it's on on sundays). I didn't think I would like it. But there was a big write-up about it in our tv guide. And I actually really like it!

We haven't seen it.  I set up four episodes to record.  They are basically out of order with the Pilot on Aug. 8th.  Should I wait and watch them in order?

I wish we had watched it from the beginning.  So far we have only seen "Butterflies"
