You'll know which one is the right one.  He or she will choose you (your mother)

How about that! You're getting a cat!!!

LOL.....one at work and one at home.

No waiting.

I love MOST dogs and I love MOST cats -  so I am sure I will be pleased with whatever is around when I get home.

You just answered my question :)  You might not find what you are looking for on the first visit.  I hope you can spend time finding out if the cat/kitten is affectionate.

That's great news, JRand. Too bad you don't live near me. I have a plethora from which to choose.

I am hoping to post photos and names soon, but some eyes are a little weepy, so they wouldn't photograph well.

I need a new outfit - I haven't bought any clothes, save for my five dollar black t-shirts, in over a year.

Might I suggest:

DR Ben just left my apartment and I send with him my affection and thanks for making this Friday evening such a good one. we watched all of the Jonathan Miller-BBC production of THE BEGGAR'S OPERA with Roger Daltrey and my friend Rosemary Ashe and bits of the Benjamin Britten version from a BBC broadcast around 1964. And if any ears burned in the past couple of hours, well, we dished everyone on HHW to death.

And now to bed!

The movies I recorded off of TCM this week have turned out to be quite good and quite interesting.

First I watched ADVENTURES OF JANE ARDEN (1939), which is based on a comic strip which I am unfamiliar with. Jane Arden is a newspaper reporter, and in the film she gets involved with jewel smugglers. I enjoyed it very much.

The film starred and actress named Rosella Towne, who I don't believe I had ever seen before. I liked her, and evidently she is still alive, somewhere.

The film I am watching now might be of great interest to our soon to be cat owner, DR Jrand.

The film is WHEN WERE YOU BORN? (1938) It stars Anna May Wong as a girl who knows plenty about astrology. When a man is murdered she helps the police catch the killer.

Lots of Virgo in Uranus shenanigans, and it all seems to be very detailed, Astrological-wise. I am curious as to how accurate it all is.

JRand, if you are interested in seeing this one, just let me know. It might be quite an intersting film to play on a TV monitor at World of Wisdom.

Finished with my viewing and now listening to the theme and variations of the Spartacus set.  The producer of this set has his name all over this booklet - over and over and over and over and yet he produced less than half its tracks, the other half being existing jazz recordings of the love theme, including Bill Evans' classic version from Conversations with Myself - he acts like he's known about this track forever - I don't believe he was ever aware of it until I made him aware of it many years ago.

I also had a wacky dream Friday morn that made me late for work. I should have known that there was something wrong  when 1) I was offered to write for this action adventure series by a friend of the family who was better know for his music and comedy specials over these years and his work with Shari Lewis on her last series on PBS, 2) I was offered $2,500 to write an episode which is way below the WAG minimum. 3) The chase scene took place in Venice Beach, CA and South Beach, FL 4) The bad guy was an 80 year old woman who just wanted to take her dog to the dog park so that it could pee. 5) The car was stopped by dropping a line with a hook and an anchor onto the fro.nt of the car. As I was "watching it" I knew I was dreaming and wanted to see the outcome but I woke up to go to the WC and discovered I overslept.
