Hey everybody.  3 shows down, 2 to go, and they both go into tech week next week.  One is a production of 13 which I'm playing in the pit for.  I'll try and keep a smile on my face.

Still feeling fine, but other parts of my lower body say otherwise.  I've emailed my primary care person again so we can try and figure out what is going on.  I have no flu symptoms, etc.  I'm hoping to be able to get in and see him today.

As for media check... something on the iPod in the car.  Although I did listen to Elaine Paige's new concert the other day, and it was quite lovely.  I might check out the new musical CHiPs at some point.  It's distributed by CD Baby.

That's all...

TOD:

I'm still watching the complete series of PRIME SUSPECT w/Helen Mirren.

They are very long episodes (most are 2-parts, 105 minutes each), but they're excellent.

And now, I must hie myself to bed...today's going to be a long day.  This evening is the Seattle Storm game, but this afternoon, I'm going to a memorial for a co-worker who passed away last week.  She was the executive secretary and had been in and out from work over the last half a year or so for medical reasons.  About a month ago, she was out again...but then without any notice, her position was announced.  We found out a little later that she wouldn't be coming back and then she died.

So that's going to be my day today. :-\

How strange to find out that way.  Hugs.

There is another book at my library that shows as available. So I'm going to try to get it. It's called HUSH HUSH. I don't really know anything about it. Except that I've seen it recommended in many places.

The reviews might turn you off, but then you enjoy the subject matter so maybe not. :)

Well, the mystery of the missing errant and truant envelope has been solved - it just came back to the person who sent it - who seems to have forgotten to put postage on it.  He says he's already re-mailed it, which I wish he wouldn't have because he should have sent it overnight.  It could take another five days to get here now - and this week's check isn't even here yet.  No bill paying this week for Kritzerland.

DR George, that is so sad about your co-worker. Even thought she had been ill for some time, I am sure it is still a shock.

Because there was SO much interest in JR's pic and my quiz, I shall now provide answers:

Picture:  Lois Kibbee, soap opera actress and sometime writer
Christine Jorgensen, Joan Bennett, and Frances Farmer:  The first two had autobiographies/biographies written or ghosted by Lois, and Lois was in the process of ghosting Frances' autobiography when Frances died in August 1970
Major and the Minor:  Lois' father, actor Milton Kibbee (brother of Guy Kibbee), played a role in the film

I also just noticed this morning that the cast of FRANCES includes one Ola Kauffman playing a mental patient.  Type casting, I'm sure.

I am happy to report that my nephew Daniel is leaving the hospital in Portland and heading back home to Medford. He will have to continue with chemo for full year. But I know he will be VERY happy to be back in his own home.

TOD:

DVR:
I know I recorded some ancient films off of TCM, but have forgotten what they were.

DVD:
Big Lots got in another swell pallet of movies for cheep, so I have some westerns to watch such as THE CIMMARON KID (Audie Murphy/Beverly Tyler) and THE LAWLESS BREED (Rock Hudson/Race Gentry)

I also have some Rin Tin Tin type movies and a documentary on Peter Berlin from Netflix to watch. Sounds like I will be in front of the TV all weekend!

My doctor checked all my meds and shot me gave me a shot in my shoulder for the bursitis.  If it doesn't feel better in a few days, I have an order for an x-ray and 4 weeks of physical therapy.

Our house painter is also a photographer.  I have a disc here with some great shots of a rattle snake I'm sure DR Laura would enjoy.  Since I know others wouldn't I'll just share his photo of cute little fawns.

My new favorite transcribed rant from Mel Gibson:

February 18, 22:27pm
MG: Arghhh. Arghhhhhh. Arghhhhh. Argh. Argh. I called.

Mel is also evidently recording a new duet with Josh Groban entitled You F*** Me Up.  :)

Thankfully I haven't had bursitis in a long, long time.  I had a shot that made it worst because I had improved enough the quack doctor shouldn't have given it to me.  I then began icing it and that helped tremendously.

I did not hear about the Ellen thing till this morning.

Wow. I am actually surprised. That really sucks for IDOL losing two judges for this season.

Although I will say that personally I did not think that Ellen was a good fit for the show.  I would rather listen to someone in the business.

Well, Paula Abdul is "in the business" and she made as much sense as listening to my vacuum cleaner!

I might be in the minority but I always enjoyed Paula on IDOL.

You got my curious so i went to amazon.com.  200 out of 300 people gave it 4 or 5 stars. But i guess all the bad reviews are at the front. I gather it's a love it or hate kind of book.

If it's still there when i go today i'll take it. If i don't like it I can always stop reading it.
