TOD

Some off beat shows that come to mind

Snoop Sisters
Police Surgeon (Canadian series with mostly American actors)
Forever Knight (First TV detective series with a vampire as its lead)

Regular

Columbo (first few seasons. The Columbo schtick grew tiresome after that)
Emergency/Chips/Adam 12 (Again first few season of each after all how many fires, highway chases and petty robberies can one make exciting/)

Monday morning greetings!  Richard is getting ready to go to the dentist for a crown-prep appointment and he's not really looking forward to it.  My mom has an eye appointment this afternoon and is not going to like what the doctor has to say, I'm sure.

Good morning, all! Thank you all for the vibes. The depression continues. I need a good cry, but that's not happening. I went to bed around 9:30 and got up around 7:45 this morning, although I truthfully could have stayed there all day. My last dream was a peculiar one about college or a camp, I can't recall now, but I vaguely remember broken plumbng and laundry.

I've got several errands to take care of this morning: the bank to order new checks, Toyland to drop off some scores, and the market. I have no idea what time Alex Rybeck will be back in town, and I would like to get this score from him ASAP.  I need the Indianapolis check to send all of these cartons littering my apartment to the Miami University Library.

DR Cillaliz, if I were you I would totally talk to Edith.  She seems like she is not just an employee but also a friend.

I would tell her that you are starting to feel better and how upset you had been about being sick for so long.

But I would probably also ask her about those personal items and say that you noticed they were gone and that you were worried. And let it go on from there.

I hate when people know something is wrong but just pretend. I bet she'd appreciate your honesty and that you care.

It was realy nice here yesterday. I spent the day at the park. It was Family Fun Day, where they had all kinds of activities for kids including 6 or 7 bouncy inflatables.

But we had 3 small incidents.  My sister's best friend was there with her 2 kids (2 and 4).  I was standing with megan (my niece) and the 4 year old and the mom.  She took the 2 year old out of her carriage. And then we were all standing there. But the little one was all of a sudden gone.  She took off and we hadn't seen it (which was weird because we were standing right there).

The mom found her 30 seconds later. She had run to the end of the bouncy we were waiting in line for. But it was scary, especially since there were hundreds/thousands of people there.

Then my niece and the other 2 kids were on a jumpy bouncy. Normally I would either run alongside following my niece. Or wait at the exit.  But this was a bouncy where you just bounced where ever you wanted.

I guess I should have been at the exit. But me and the other mom and dad) were on the other side but we could see all 3 kids. Well all of a sudden i look and see my niece at the exit coming out (but i am on the other side). Now i knew she saw me around back (which is where she was heading). So i ran around to get her and told her she can't just run off.

Then third scary moment was i was holding my niece's hand. And her friend was holding my niece's other hand.

Then all of a sudden without saying anything the other little girl just runs off going to the direction where she remembered her parents being.

And luckily i noticed that she had let go of my niece. And here i am screaming at her to stop, while we chase her down. I couldn't believe she took off like that. She's 4 1/2 and there were so many people. I'm not even sure if she would have been able to find her parents in that crowd.

It's just crazy how you can be so conscientious. I don't let me niece out of my sight for even one second. And yet all these things can occur!

TOD:  I remember fondly BURKE'S LAW...and a spate of Warner Bros. private eye sows like 77 SUNSET STRIP, HAWAIIAN EYE, SURFSIDE 6.  I was a devotee of HILL STREET BLUES.  I don't know if it would officially be considered a cop show, but there was no law enforcement show better than THE UNTOUCHABLES.

Greetings from Toyland! I'll be here for a while before I can stop by Alex Rybeck's and pick up the score for Liz and Ann Callaway. I got my check order to the bank, but I think it's irritating that they cannot provide me with temporary checks until the order arrives.

I believe I have posted previously about Si Zentner's groovy-doovy arrangement of the theme from BURKE'S LAW.  BURKE'S LAW is available on DVD.  I don't believe the third season, where he became a secret agent, is out yet, but I could be mistaken.

I am still surprised that Miss Allison Hayes did not make an appearance on BURKE'S LAW.....since she was a semi-regular on BAT MASTERSON and starred with Mr Barry in a movie.
