It was realy nice here yesterday. I spent the day at the park. It was Family Fun Day, where they had all kinds of activities for kids including 6 or 7 bouncy inflatables.

But we had 3 small incidents.  My sister's best friend was there with her 2 kids (2 and 4).  I was standing with megan (my niece) and the 4 year old and the mom.  She took the 2 year old out of her carriage. And then we were all standing there. But the little one was all of a sudden gone.  She took off and we hadn't seen it (which was weird because we were standing right there).

The mom found her 30 seconds later. She had run to the end of the bouncy we were waiting in line for. But it was scary, especially since there were hundreds/thousands of people there.

It is amazing how they can run off in the blink of an eye.  I'm glad you found her so quickly.

I am still surprised that Miss Allison Hayes did not make an appearance on BURKE'S LAW.....since she was a semi-regular on BAT MASTERSON and starred with Mr Barry in a movie.

She probably asked not to work with him again!

And of course, when I talked with Mr. Barry, he had no recolection of her. Must have been watching himself in the monitor, rather then paying attention to his co-stars.

DR Ginny I am very glad to read you are reconnecting with an old friend.  It was comforting to read your news shortly after receiving news I lost a friend last night.  My friend was a retired minister who was part of my hiking group.  He began slowing down at the age of 79, hiking until he was 81, after various bouts with cancers & pneumonia.  He was still hiking with the group before my accident & had stopped by the time I returned.  I didn't get to see him again.

I will always remember the day I sat with his wife for the funeral of another dear hiker.  Doug was an assistant minister on that occasion & when the congregation went up for communion I also went up to be blessed by Doug.

When we moved to Seattle when I was a kid, it was the first time we had had access to what were then called "independent" television stations, i.e., ones not affiliated to one of the big three networks.  It was the first time I got to see a lot of old 50's television.  I remember watching HIGHWAY PATROL every afternoon when I got home from school.  The old gameshow THE MOVIE SHOW was also on that station.

Things seem totally normal at the office today.   I'm not going to say anything right now.

I don't know how long ago she tool the items home, so I'm not going to stir things up right now.  I'm beginning to think she took the stuff home on the day I really was upset and just hasn't brought them back.  I'm also wondering if she didn't look into working for the guy at the other end of the hallway when his secretary retired.  She was really shaking her head and grinning today when potential clients came to our office after meeting with him and were very unhappy with him.  We get a lot of that from his clients and potential clients. She knew exactly who applied there and saw who he hired.  Last week she told me about another firm she "would have" worked for if she hadn't started working for me.

Anyway, things are good today so I'm going to just let it go for now

One last thing....a two person office is a little like a relationship.  Sometimes you confront and sometimes you let things work themselves out.  I'm going to let things go right now.  I think we're past the storm...whatever storm it was...

I'm going to take Sherlock to the vet for a recheck.  We will park & walk before going into his appointment.  He likes that.

I apologize for being so E & T lately.  Hard to even get a chance to read posts let alone post myself.  Thankfully, I have only one more week to get through before my manager's return...

DR Laura, that middle picture looks like it came right out of the middle of a Disney Wildlife Adventure!

DR Laura, if you were dancing in the ballet CAKEWALK, you'd be the Queen of the Swamp Lilies! Great photos.

I have been to Alex Rybeck's and I have all the music I need. I guess I have no choice but to get to work.

DR Laura, you really should your photos to a magazine - for money not for free. Audobon or National Geographic or something. You photos are better than some I've seen published.

Ok, so I said that I was going to get some pop-up post it notes for her special dispenser but didn't see it on her desk, so I didn't get them.  She said she took it home because her daughter is redoing her room and it looks good on the desk.   So, either that was a good cover story or I got suspicious over nothing.

Ok, back to work.   We are supposed to have bad storms today and tonight.  Wind and hail.  Glad my car is in the ramp.
