Bill Watterson
I have an autographed Bill Watterson print somewhere. It's numbered but not framed. I guess I need to do that.

DR Elmore, take a bit of advice from Bob Merrill in "Prettybelle":

I met a man
Who says he tries
To laugh as often
As he cries.

It's often hard to do, but it has helped. On many occasions. I have just had to shrug off the insanity, the stupidity, the anger, the ugliness and just laugh. Sometimes it comes out full of venom at first. But it could be a start.

It's time for me to leave work and go home.

Later, gators!

I thought I would check out Facebook before I went to bed, and I saw a "prayers for our sister-in-law Ginny" post from the wife of DR Ginny's late brother-in-law. This freaked me out so I called Finny's cell phone. I was afraid she had been in a car wreck and was in a coma in some hospital.

Well, she is in the hospital because during her afternoon grant whatever, she had problems that led to her being taken by ambulance to a hospital. Tomorrow morning she is having a cardiac cathartization, and I asked her to call me when it's over.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Good Health Vibes for DR Ginny! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I went to the doctor tonight - he put me on amoxicilian and a inhaler
Hey, I resemble that remark!   I'm allergic to penicillin so I have a different antibiotic.  I just finished day 6 of the antibiotics and haven't needed the inhaler for 3 nights now.  I'm definitely getting better and don't believe it's asthma...hope you have the same results I did, Vixmom!
Can only stay a second.
Just wanted to say bk's book reading was really nice.   His wonderful smile and stories were the best.
Night all. ;)
Had a really nice turnout at the library - several friends, but virtually none of the usual suspects from my eBlast and few of my Facebook "friends."  I really will now not support any events they ask me to attend - not a one of them.  If this was a one-off occurrence I would understand.  But these people have NEVER gotten off their collective ASSES to be supportive, while I, fool that I occasionally am, have been supportive to many of them numerous times.  No more, baby, no more.
I read for thirty minutes - I've learned for next time that I really don't want to read for more than twenty - the audience was fine, but I lose focus after twenty minutes.  And it was more fun just telling stories and answering questions - muse Margaret and her ever-lovin' Richard was there - and I probably embarrassed her by calling her out, but she means so much to me I just had to.
I sold about six books, so that was nice.  One nice fellow came because he's a huge Nudie Musical fan - another because he feels that I Want To Eat Your Face is the highest moment in all of cinema (that's exactly how he put it, and he was SERIOUS).  Everyone there was very nice.  But there was one of those really odd happenings that I simply could not believe - but I'll save that story for the notes.
After, Barry, me, and Juliana A. Hansen's mother, Diane, all went to the Daily Grill, where I ate way too much food - so that will be my splurge meal for the week.
