I lost my balance today and fell into the dry streambed. It was quite ungraceful. And now my hip is sore. I'm glad no one witnessed it.

Keep your eye on YOUTUBE.

Honestly, why do they need to determine if a crime was committed? I doubt there's anyone to prosecute at this point.

Morbid curiousity is my guess. People love to solve old mysteries, cops are people too.

I read that as I sent DotM a personal message....

With wine?

No, DR Cillaliz, that would have been "with whine."

It is interesting.  The bodies were in doctor's bags wrapped in newspaper.   There were also all sorts of treasures in the trunk.  Tickets to the Olympics, and a copy of the book, "Peter Pan", which is why they are wondering if the J. Barrie who owned the trunk is related to the author of Peter Pan

Well, DR Laura, at least you didn't get wet!  The doctor told my mom to alternate ice and heat on her sore hip - have you tried that?  Hope it feels better soon.

Jrand, I don't think Bonjour Tristesse has ever been released legitimately on CD - where did you find it?

Ah, yes, I have that Bonuour Tristesse CD - it came out this year in France - it's taking advantage of the 50 year copyright rule overseas - anything 1960 and before can be done by anyone anywhere, as long as it's not the US, although, what no one has figured out yet is that that bit of business can work two ways - therefore Kritzerland can issue any foreign soundtrack or show pre-1960 - and we just might.  Meanwhile, it's not a bad CD but it's been mastered from an LP.

Finally have the time to watch "Romance & Cigarettes." Not a perfect movie by any means, but I am enjoying it's carefree attitude. And it was great to see Christopher Walken do some of the steps from "The Jet Song" while singing "Delilah." Can't wait to see Elaine Stritch.

I am all agog about the new release to be announced in a few hours!

SAINT JOAN arrived at my house today....and I listened to it immediately.  I haven't seen the movie in awhile, but I certainly agree with MR BK's liner notes.  It is a lovely score - and the CD sounds great....now I want to find my old VHS and watch the movie again.

Jean Seberg and all of those MEN - many of whom - Richard Todd I am talking to you - never looked better!

I love Jean Seberg in EVERYTHING.....especially BONJOUR TRISTESSE.....but she is SO beautiful.......

Even in Paint Your Wagon or Airport?

i've noticed that many broadway musicals from the 40 & 50's are starting to appear on the European labels. I look on them as bootlegs and I'm sure they are not taken from the masters
