No guesses yet on the mystery photo.

Is it your high school graduation picture?  ;)

The details of the Lonergan case are about halfway down the page at this link...although the entire story is most interesting.

http://mrsastor.com/2008/05/count-and-countess-edward-zichy-by.html

Given the sensationalism of the Lonergan case, I'm surprised there hasn't been a new book with all the salacious details. All that exists is a book form the 1970s, A CHAIR FOR WAYNE LONERGAN, and a horrible  roman a clef by Gordon Merrick, one of Moss Hart's amours from the 1940s.

I've just cooked my least successful omelette; it came out as glorified scrambled eggas with cheddar and ham. Tasty, but a complete mess.

I just learned that my friend Nick Spangler, winner with his sister  of THE AMAZING RACE two(??) years ago, has just married. I'm very happy for him, although my beloved goddaughter Charlotte may be devastated. 8)

Oh, and no crown molding or woodwork on the top of the set so you can see the top edge of the flats...I HATE THAT!!!

As in this uncropped version of the picture above.  :P

I would probably spend the entire first act, staring at the crooked pictures on the wall.

If Mr. Barnum knows the answer, I have no hope of even guessing.

I'll be back. I need to run out to put out some imaginary fires, as well as check in on a friend who apparently had a major allergic reaction to something he ate last night while we were out at dinner.

Laters...

Oatmeal, banana, cinnamon and walnuts (and a cup of coffee).

Following your fine example:

Oatmeal (cinnamon/pecan), brown sugar, sliced banana; Earl Grey tea

I'm taking an arranging break; I've finished the vocal arrangements and now I'm working on Ron Raines' number, "Cuban," which is the peculiar title of the manuscript, probably because it's a Habanera, the tango named after Havana. It's an unpublished Herber manuscript, not in his hand, and I wonder if it's something assembled posthumously. The tune and the lyrics are great but the accompaniment is simple chords, not at all like Herbert.

DR Thom, I'm also confused; are you recuperating or still waiting for the surgery? I thought it had happened. At any rate, it's good to see you, and I hope you are okay. I'm sending you vibes against all potential perils!

DR elmore3003, I still have a week to go before surgery. Thank you for the vibes.

I'll be there for both the signing and the Joe Allen get together.

Larry, Thom is waiting for his surgery. I think it's in about a week.

I thought it will be in two days.

While Keith was chasing turkeys out of our yard he discovered signs a bear had been in it a few days ago.  He thinks the bear climbed a tree then dropped down over the fence.  The big question is, how did the bear get out‽
