A friend of mine (with too much time on his hands) sent me some stills from yesterday's show.  But I have no idea how to get them here if I don't download them to PhotoBucket first.

I've had trouble with photobucket lately. It makes the photos too small to see. I have been posting with Flicker.

And the word of the day is: RUBRIC!

Didn't Rubric have a cube?

But Flicker is complicated to tell someone else how to post from.

Yes, I know that sentence is a grammar nightmare. Sue me.

We didn't have such a thing as a Saturday matinee for a long time because children were not allowed in the movies except for special occasions like the release of a Disney Film or The Sound of Music. This was because years prior to this there was a terrible fire where many children died.

But sometime before 1967 the rules were changed because the first movie I saw on my own was Thoroughly Modern Millie (At "Popular Prices" 99 Cents)

After children were allowed in the theaters there were Saturday matinees (and Sundays) usually MGM's family friendly movies. It was on one of these outings I saw The Wizard Of Oz for he first time in technicolor. (I only had a B & W tv set at home

The winds are so strong here that the power flickered off three times in the last few minutes. I hope I finish my work before it goes out for good.

George, if you get this other job, can you still work the strange hours that you work now?  Remember, you are NOT a morning person.

That is a consideration.  I have actually gotten to work at 10:00 every day, last week.

It's a start.

DR Cillaliz, nice pics of the dishes.

Reading your post about losing weight reminded me about exercising in the winter.  There are like 4 months for sure when I will not be able to exercise outside. And I"m starting to freak out. Yesterday was raining and I could not bike. And I realized how much I hate indoor excercising.

Since my back is still not 100% I'm having a hard time hooping. I started doing it again a few days ago. And I can hip hoop. But I still can't hoop around my waist for more than 5 minutes at a time (it makes my back sore).

I guess I could try to do 2 X 10 minutes of hooping a day. And once a week I"m going to try to go swimming.  I used to sometimes read a book on my exercise bike (which was the only way i could tolerate it).  Maybe i could handle 5 minutes a day.

Does anybody have any good indoor exercises?

Drive to the nearest mall and walk all around the inside.

I should just walk to work.

I stopped walking to work...partly because I am lazy and partly because we had two stabbings one morning last week on one of the street that I walk on to get to work...less then a half mile from my house.

...some kids (16 year olds) stabbed an elderly man who was out collecting cans at 6 am, killing him, and then they drove up the street and stabbed a guy who was walking to work (who turned out to be a clerk at a store that I shop at...as I found out this weekend). He survived, but his arm right arm (which he used to protect himself) is a mess of stitches.

It seems it was random acts of violence on the part of these hooligans, and thankfully they have been caught, but very scary to have something like this happen in Salem.

And thanks again for the CD offer I'm happy to say I don't need.

And you're off the list. ;)
