And anyone who has seen me blow a gasket or three knows that that is to be avoided at all costs.

I think that is illegal in some states.

Thanks Laura!  How are the Kitties? Did you take them to be adopted today or are they still with you

After I got the kittens settled at adoptions I headed up to church camp. I managed to get there after lunch and left before dinner, so no camp food photos from me today.

Spent the better part of the day moving boxes and crates to the new apartment.

Met a few of my new neighbors, and they are really nice (and some are really nice looking!)

And I think there are more then just 7 Indian men living in my building. They were everywhere... ;D

Well, that explains that....were they friendly with each other when they got to adoptions?

I took them. There were two other kittens -- a little bigger than ours, but very pretty.

I don't know. They were scared, of course. I hope they got along.

And this was the cocktail that started off my evening at Shaun's: The Thistle (the old mill rum, green chartreuse, allspice dram, lime, maple syrup)

That was Tasty!

This morning Paul and I went to Jitters to have Sunshine Doughnuts.  They are an old fashioned cake doughnut made with an old fashioned doughnut machine.  OHHH MAN!!! They were soooo good.

I hope that food was as good as it looks!

Was that a tiny porpoise in your soup, though?

DR Jose, was that borsht?

Here was the meal - which was their featured Prix Fixe tonight:

Cold Beet Soup with Goat Cheese Sorbet
Berkshire Pork Schnitzel with Grilled Onions, Parsley Salad & Peanuts
Chocolate Mousse with Chocolate Almond Crumble & Banana Sorbet
*And Callie, the bartender/mixologist/nurse/Peace Corps volunteer recommended the Lindeman's Kriek (Black Cherry) Lambic to go with the dessert. And it did!

I returned home this evening to the news that my interviewees, Miss Rebel Randall, passed away back in July.

Rebel was quite a character, but a real sweetheart. Her films included some Abbott and Costello films, some Maria Montez films, GHOST MINE (1941), ZIEGFELD GIRL (1941), SEVEN DOORS TO DEATH (1944), THE CASE OF THE BABYSITTER (1947), and THE ROARING CITY (1951). She also worked frequently with The 3 Stooges.
