CD ordered.

Thanks BK for mentioning the CD before Monday, since today will probably be my last day to sign on for who knows how long. I have to be at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan tomorrow at 9:30 AM EDT. My right hip revision surgery should begin approximately two hours after arrival. As with my previous three hip replacements, my pain should be gone immediately following my operation.

I have no idea how long I will be in the hospital and subsequent rehabilitation therapy. Forgive me if I do not send or reply to emails over the next several weeks (since I do not know if I will have Wi-Fi access). I look forward to returning to this list very soon in the near future. - Cheers

I remember this excellent hospital.  I never had to stay overnight there.  I did have blood work & yearly tests and they were always were very nice and competent.   Of course that was a good number of years ago.

I like knowing your pain should be gone immediately & send mega vibes it happens!!!!

I'm not much of a football fan.   I was when I was in college and for a few years after that, but it just doesn't do much for me anymore.

DR Thom do you ever go to the Great Harvest Bread Company? http://www.greatharvest.com  We used to go to the one in Birmingham.  We just heard one opened about half an hour from us.  We'll have to get there & give it a try.

Okay, here is a question.

What new TV program are you looking forward to checking out this fall?

For me, probably LAW AND ORDER, LA.

Or....................

If you were going to be a character in a movie, what type of movie would it be, and why?

I would probably put myself in a murder mystery as the amatuer detective.  Because I love a good mystery, and since it was only a movie, no harm, no foul.

I would, of course, like to be a scientist-hero in a 1950's sci fi film......like Gene Barry in WAR OF THE WORLDS.

Keith went outside to check for signs of the bear and was shocked to find so many.  At least it hasn't destroyed the fence.

DR Jane, I have lived in the Birmingham-Troy area since 1969 and I am sorry to say that I have never heard of the Great Harvest Bread Company. I must look into it when I am back on my feet.

Have you heard of Gayle's chocolates?  http://www.gayleschocolates.com
There used to be a small store in Birmingham which closed down after we moved away.

I'm torturing myself. Michigan was filled with good places to eat and outside of So. California the only place we lived in with lots of good Jewish deli's & bakeries.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  Well, still being in recovery/rehab from a heart attack was a great excuse for not attending the quarterly ladies' guild meeting after church today.  I mean, who really cares whether wax or oil candles are used on the altar?

Hope DR Thom checks in one more time to find my best wishes for a smooth procedure tomorrow followed by a timely recovery!  Remember, HHW is a great place to convalesce!
