I've been to psychics, had my palm read, tarot read etc.  It's kind of fun at this point in my life because the fakes always talk about my children.  Good guess, but no cigar.   I've had a few that were uncanny - one was a palm reader in New Orleans.  I didn't tell him anything about me and he was spot on, so much so that I talked a friend of mine who is very different from me into getting a reading and he walked away shaking his head it was so accurate

I don't know that there has been a totally accurate prediction, but there have been readings that made me think which led to making a decision.

Comedian Jackie Vernon told me a story about a party he attend in which a palm reader was present, giving a reading to anybody who wanted one.

One guy offered his hand to the palm reader; she took one look at it, pushed it away and said, "I don't want to read this one."

A day or two later, this guy was hit and killed by a car.

Well we ARE in the last two days of a Mercury retrograde - and in fact this week Saturn does conjunct Uranus, so all things are possible.

DR VIXMOM - we now and then record our shows, but it is NOT legal to do so - so probably NOT this one.

Two of my sisters and I both do readings for a living....and I do two seances a year....and we have many repeat customers and they all send their friends to us, so I am thinking we do okay.....

Feeling a bit better, thanks.

Yesterday PCPH was denied the license to produce Disney's Beauty & the Beast in August, 2011....so we have to find another show.

Tuesday morning greetings!  Today's an at-home day for me, so I'll get some desk work done along with some Orlando preparations.

I am assuming this is another of Sacha Baron Cohen's characters.

TOD -

Norma: Today's the day.
Joe: What do you mean?
Norma: Max is going to deliver the script to Paramount
Joe: You're really going to give it to DeMille?
Norma: I've just spoken with my astrologer. She read De Millle's horoscope; she read mine.
Joe: Did she read the script?
Norma: DeMille is Leo; I'm scorpio. Mars is transiting Jupiter, And today is the day of closest conjunction.
Joe: Oh, well, that's all right, then.

Yes, I have have a one track mind

Oh, and I'm here and caught up. It's been a busy three days.  Nothing horribly exciting, just busy.  I did get a new iMac for my office, which is good.  I got tired of waiting for the computer to catch up.  Now, I have to keep up with the computer.

Tech week for La Cage starts tonight.  Looking forward to that although, my head is gravitating to the first night of Sunset Blvd rehearsals next week.  Things are moving very quickly.  Before we know it, it will be December and while my computer will be ahead, I'll be behind.

TOD:

The streets of Philadelphia were at one time dotted with store front fortune tellers (before being shut down by the city some time in the 80s.)  While I never even thought of venturing inside, it seemed that I could never pass by one of these places without the proprietress banging on the window and urgently waving at me to come in.  It spooked me for years until someone told me that these women generallly believe that blonds (men and women alike) were an easy mark.  Who knew?...

So was she right?

She was half right.

I've now made my first round of notes on the published Herbert songs, listing lyricist, date of publication, publisher, and any notes on the publication, like dedication or "sung by _______." For the manuscript, unpublished numbers I've recorded if it's a composer or copyist score, lyricist if noted, character assigned to sing the number if it were intended for a show, and any other pertinent info.

I have to do the same now for the piano music and the cello-piano duets. I'd rather nap.

I was catching up with this weekend's posts and reading about Laura Branigan's "Gloria".  I have to admit that whenever I see the title "Gloria", I think of the Patti Smith version.

Just returned from my 26-minute walk around the neighborhood.  Humidity + terrain = higher degree of difficulty.
