I just put the sauerbraten to marinade for a couple of days.

YUM!  When I was living at the lakes we decided to do an Octoberfest . One of my friends made the sauerbraten and I made 50 pounds of German potatoe salad.  It was fun.

oooooooooooooooooooh

when I was a teenager I was good friends with a girl whose parents were from Germany - her Mom made a saurbraten that was out of this world

My mom used to make it once in a while. No idea why -- we weren't German.

My husband put "German" down as his ethnicity or nationality or whatever on the nosy census. He has never had sauerbraten and won't try it.

I better get some sleep.  I have to meet someone for coffee in the morning.  Not until 10:00 but that's early enough

Cilla - my office uses Quickbooks and reconciles every month andtehy seem to be pretyy happy with it ... I do not personally use the program  so I am not sure how hard it is  to use or how expensive to purchase  but the people who do use it seem  to be pretty happy with it

OHHHH I almost forgot to tell you.  Today I got an email that had the page from the magazine that inspired Esther and Bert to build this house.  It's very exciting for me.  Not sure if I can attach it here.  Think I'll add it to my facebook page

I can't get the fussy eaters in my house to try it either  - I only have it  "out" as it's too much work ot make it just for me

do you serve it with red cabbage?

I just finished watching "Napoleon Dynamite."  It's pretty funny...not in a laugh-out-loud way, but I enjoyed it.

Just had to share. :)
