CD - Elvis Presley BLUE HAWAII

DVD - OSS 117 - RIO, sent to me by DR MBARNUM.....most enjoyable.....star Jean Dujardin seems to have lost quite a bit of hair since OSS CAIRO....but c'est la vie.

So did Sean Connery, as the Bond pictures progressed. That is until the hair pieces cropped up.

RIO is set in 1967, so they are sort of in Austin Powers territory.....but funnier.

I'm doing my best not to write a story I need to finish today. And this site is helping interrupt the work. I have 500 words written now, which means I'm about half-way there. But I don't care for the subject matter and that is really what is hindering my progress.

I guess no one read the notes today because I see not one excellent vibe or xylophone for good weather for my trip.

Jesus, BK! You're not flying until Thursday!

I bet if I were an investor in Promises I would see not one penny of my money back - it's just they do love to say their recouping (in this case they say they "expect" to recoup - to which I say, have one investor show me a profit check).

DR JRand, Peter Filichia is a great guy and a good friend. He has an email address on his Theatremania column. You should correct him. He's a good sport.

Well, the Diva Tenor is paying for the transpositions himself, and I am no longer involved with it. He's clearly cut his own throat because hell will freeze over before I ever work with him again. Or recommend him. His behavior was sneaky, manipulative and a breach of protocol; and since he's only looking now at the music he was given in May, I suspect we'll record a rather shallow but highly egocentric performance.

Now that this tsuris is over, maybe I'll stop being crabby.

There are two full time handymen at my new apartment complex. That will be nice.

Is this one of your porn fantasies?

Well, one handyman does closely resemble Anderson Cooper.

PICTURES!!  TAKE PICTURES!!

I have corresponded with Peter Filichia over the years via e-mail and he has always been pleasant. He's such a booster of theater, cheerleading, even, that he would likely appreciate hearing from you.

He has also written a number of great liner notes for BK's releases over the years. I particularly like the ones he did for "Prettybelle." But then, I like anything to do with that score.
