JMK, I mentioned the hacked e-mail account in the notes.  It's been happening to a lot of people lately so I assume once you get one of those from someone else then it gets into those address books, although how I have no idea since I never open those e-mails.

DR Jose , VIBES OF COMFORT FOR YOUR FRIEND ANDY!!! It is difficult enough to lose a beloved pet, worse to be isolated from physical comfort elsewhere.

Happiest of birthdays, DR Laura!

TOD:

"Sometimes a Day Goes By"/ "I Don't Remember You"
"Ring Them Bells"
"What Would You Do"
"He Had it Coming"
"A Quiet Thing"
and the Hebrew versions of "New York, New York" and "If You Could See Her" (the latter being possibly the single most surreal song I own)

i found the PDF of Skip and Richard's LAURA song - it actually mentions Cher in it

There's never been a laugh like Laura
Half like Laura, half so rare
Desperately human
Roosevelt and Truman
Rolled up in Cher

Karen Ziemba played Laura when they did a few numbers from the show at the Lincoln Center library for the Richard Engquist tribute.

Of course, Cherpumple has nothing to do with Cher, but it is a coincidence.

Sandra asked me what kind of birthday cake I want. I told her one of these:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rp4yWTLIPaE

OH! EMM! GEE!!

I'm shocked! And I don't shock that easily when it comes to baked goods, but, yes, I'm shocked.

*And, of course, I think I'm going to be having the rest of my Carrot Cake Cheesecake from Junior's for breakfast this morning. -Which is essentially a cheesecake sandwiched between two layers of carrot cake. :)

If YOU are shocked imagine how I feel. ;)  I suspect the strangeness of the cake will entice DR Sandra to bake one. :)

Does anyone else think that cherpumple sounds like something DR Sandra would have invented?

Yes, as does the entire cake.

I missed the season premiere of THE BIG BANG THEORY because I had my times confused......I did see TWO AND HALF MEN and the new show MOLLY & MIKE.  M&M was okay, but the sassy black policeman who partners Mike and the sassy Puerto Rican dope smoking sister are too much for me (and the actors playing the roles are....well....graduates of the Debra Messing tv Acting School) - but it's always fun to see Swoosie Kurtz.

HAWAII FIVE O - hmmmmmmmmmmmmm......like the cast, except for the "girl" of the group, pretty useless.....but making the squad a "James Bond" type of organization battling terrorists really negates the idea of having them be in Hawaii.....perhaps this is just the pilot, and they will concentrate on the island in future episodes....otherwise.....I may not stick around....although there is Scott Caan.

Thanks for the new show report.

Jack, you didn't miss the premiere of Big Bang Theory. The new season starts this Thursday at 8pm. It's been moved. CBS has decided to try and build a comedy block on Thursday to compete with NBC. They start out with BBT and then move on to what looks like, to me, a truly awful show. When you base a show's premise on a Twitter account I think you're in for trouble. It's William Shatner's new show, **** My Dad Says. The Twitter feed is called Shit My Dad Says but CBS won't use that for the title.

Ground Glass with a Drano Chaser please!

I am still on the fence about ordering the HARLOW and WHERE LOVE HAS GONE dvd's.....at $22.49 each......they are not released until NEXT Tuesday, so NO reviews about the quality of the DVD's.....the quality of the films is well known.

From Jose:

And as I was leaving, I tweeted MoMA and their PR person... They will be talking to the guards on Wednesday. (The museum is closed tomorrow.)  Smiley

;D  Will you also be getting a special pass for the guards in the future?

And if the answer is "Yes", how often will there be a "Passing of the Guards" in your future?

The Internet connection went down and I had to call Time Warner - the usual unplug, restart bushwa - it finally came back up after about fifteen minutes and I don't believe it just magically went down - I think THEY went down and don't ever like to tell you that.
