Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I'm doing laundry. And it looks like I'll be doing laundry until I head down to the Drama Bookshop for bk's reading later this afternoon. Ah, well...

Didn't like the sweater, so it's all black for me today - nice black t-shirt and pants.  I guess gone are the days when there was a Gap on every block in NY.

And that's a bad thing???

DR Matthew - I'm guessing you meant to say "direct"?  If so, Coolio!  -Although, if you thought your tech weeks as a musical director were hard, well... I'd make sure to give it some pretty serious thought and planning.

Friday morning greetings!  Another day of cardiac rehab for me, preceded by a visit to the vampires lab for some blood tests.

bk - You're just staying in a different part of town, that's all.  If you were closer to Times Square, you'd have at least three Gap's to choose from.  -I'm actually trying to remember if any locations of the Gap have closed recently. I don't seem to recall walking past any shuttered storefronts.  I do know that some Banana Republic locations closed, but, in fact, they just moved to larger quarters a block or two away.  In any case...

Did you end up at the one on 34th caddy-corner to Macy's?

*And if you present your out-of-town driver's license to the Customer Service desk in Macy's, you get a coupon for 11%-off your total purchase.

And speaking of bk's book-signing, I like how The Drama Book Shop tweeted about his appearance this afternoon:

DR Ben - I believe you mentioned wanting to see Lombardi. If you don't have your tickets yet, and if you don't mind signing up on a new social-media driven ticket service, 1iota has FREE tickets for various dates throughout the preview period.  And from what I gather, all you really have to do is sign up and say that you'll spread the word out via Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Strangely enough, the Drama Book Shop doesn't have bk's reading and book-signing listed on their Facebook page. Well, they hardly have any Events listed on their Facebook page.

I'll leave in about twenty minutes.  The studio is on 66th St., so I'll cab it up there.

bk - Just FYI: President Obama is at the Waldorf-Astoria today. There will be "random" barricades and motorcades in midtown this afternoon.

Although, most of those should be east of Broadway.

Thanks for the information. I'm seeing it Monday through TDF. Tickets have been available there for quite a while. I will check into 1iota though and see what's up.

See you later!

Well I will be winging my way to the west coast in less than 5hrs.

It will be the first time I will be flying a Virgin.
Airlines that is.

Looking forward to going to San Francisco for the first time.

The only media plan that I have is to go to the Castro Theater to see the restored version of Fritz Lang's Metropolis.

So  I will have this evening, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in SF.

Then I will flying back to the east cost, but I will be in another country for an additional week/

I am saying this incase my B & B in SF doesn't have WiFi and I will be E & T until I get to MTL

Hope everyone has a great weekend and everything goes well.

Great vibes to BK for the rest of his stay in NYC.

I'm now waiting for Fed Ex. It was nice to see a few NYPL folk I like to visit.

I just got a phone call frm someone saying I recently requested information on working at home. When these shysters tell you this, why don't they know who the hell the source of information was?

DR Rodzinski has a band(!) gig on the East Side of town tonight, so he won't be able to make it to the festivities tonight.

It wasn't live after all - taped and will air next week - I'll know in advance.  Taping was okay - it's one of those things where the subject is in a room talking to someone in the studio so I was looking at a monitor and had an earpiece for the audio.  But I don't like looking at the monitor so I was probably a little ill at ease.   I made a big mistake and walked forty blocks back to the hotel.  A mistake because from the time I left till after the taping it got VERY hot.  I was sweating like a pig by the time I got back here.  I'm cooling off the room and waiting for housekeeping to come clean the room.
