At the animal shelter. You would think they'd be happier to be here, wouldn't you?

Is Sandra staying out of their food?

Here I am with the charming Taina Elg of LES GIRLS.

She was also Guido's mother in the original Broadway production of Nine.

Good morning, all!

I just had a shock: James Stovall, one of the cast of FINIAN'S RAINBOW, has died. He was a wonderful man, and his death saddens me. I'm grateful to Sara Jean Ford for letting me know.

I have to run down to Toyland this morning, look for some documents and get to the post office. I may stop in to the NYPL on my way back. Hopefully, it will not be an eventful day.

I've been out of town for long periods on several jobs, usually between 4-6 weeks, in such exotic locations as East Haddam, CT (Goodspeed), Troy, NY (NY State Theatre Institute), and London (June and September, 2001, recording).

I am sorry to read about the passing of James Stovall, elmore.  My sympathies to you.

I am afraid I am not feeling in a mood to play "Pad the count" tonight; so I guess I will just say good night.

G'night!

TOD, when I was a kid I used to go to summer camp for a month.  I'd go home maybe one weekend out of that time.  Since then, I went on a trip to Alaska with my parents after my first year in law school that lasted....about 3 weeks, maybe longer.  We drove to Prince Rupert Canada and took the ferry to Ketchican Alaska, then did a cruise through the inside passage and drove back home via Edmonton and down.

I just don't leave for more than 3 or 4 nights now and that's getting less and less often.  I'm fine with that

Jennifer the only returning show, so far, that has met our high expectations was MEDIUM.  BIG BANG comes in second.  THE CLOSER, as usual, went out with such a terrific show it made us more aware of what we missed.  I'm still holding out hope for THE GOOD WIFE.

I enjoyed both MEDIUM and THE MENTALIST. I won't say they were my favorite episodes. But I liked them both a lot.

I am so excited. We are getting season 5 of THE CLOSER in a few weeks!

Here's a question for our experts: My singer was asking if we should do Getting Married Today in her act - I'm not keen on it, really.  But - has anyone done this song doing BOTH parts of it themselves, i.e. the fast part AND the "Today is for Amy - Bless This House" part?  That idea came to me yesterday and I think it could be very funny.

i love that song.

And as for last night's season premiered of "The Amazing Race"... WOW!

That was a great first segment, challenge.  It initially seemed simple to get from Point A to Point B, and then from Point B to Point C, but... I think each team had some sort of "hiccup" along the way.

I'm just wondering if the first team eliminated actually completed the last task.

I hope so.  Miss Karen really doesn't look happy, but then she is a Tortie.;)
