Another good day at the studio. Ron got his three songs recorded in about two hours so we ended with time to record a piano solo before lunch. After lunch we took a stroll through the wonderful museum of the Hispanic Society next to the Academy and saw the Goya painting and other fantastic Spanish and Mexican works of art. Then the handsome and talented Aaron Lazar showed up and recorded four numbers. His beautiful performance of the heartbreaking "Heart O'Mine," written for the play "The Merry Wives of Gotham," had everyone in the studio in tears by the end. All in all, a very great day, and I hope tomorrow goes as well.

Does anyone have to pay to access their local paper online?

Beginning the 19th of this month we will have to pay to read our two local papers.  They aren't very good to begin with & I only look at them for the local news & obits.  Long ago we stopped the paper since they could never figure out hold dates, plus all the recycling.  Soon I will will be out of the loop regarding the local news.

At least we will have free access to emergency info.

The Olympian is free, but they have what they call E-Edition, an on-line version that's almost* exactly like the print edition.  The E-Edition costs $5.95 a month.

*E-Edition does not currently include Sunday comics or advertising inserts. No additional charge with your regular rate weekend or daily subscription.

DR Elmore - did you catch in my earlier post that Andrea came to visit me today?  She asked about you!

I did. I'm happy that you got to visit with her. I miss her and think of her often.

Did you play your CDs? Watch your DVD?

I'm going to bed. It was a long day and I am quite tired. The alarm will go off around six am and I want to get a lot of rest.

DR Elmore - the CDs are going with me in the car tomorrow.  Haven't been home enough to watch a DVD since it arrived, but I'll have a chance this week, for sure!

Options are nice & the price isn't too bad.  I hope the paper is better than our papers.

I went online to make my flight reservations to Chicago.  After setting it all up it said to pick my seats, which I did.  There was also a box to check for special economy seats which I did not click on.  To my surprise there was an addition $83 included in the fees and no way to remove the seats before finalizing the booking.  I then called India to book on the phone.  They kindly waived the $25 booking fee which I would not have paid online.

Be very careful when booking online, you don't want to have to call India.

What a lazy day.  Have not even unlocked the gate to go beyond the yard.  Have not done anything except dust.  Feel very scared, like my old comforts are about to be left behind.   And have no idea where I will end up.   :-\      Not even music fixed things.   Wonder if it's the pills.  ???

Maybe I was just so used to feeling sick all the time, this new feeling is not comfortable.  ???

LOL.  I've never called them before.  Locals tell me it is cheaper to go to the airport to book with them.

I'm flying with United.  I bet most airlines have these new options you need to be careful not to click on.

Got a great deal at Big Lots the other on "Waiting for Guffman," "Best in Show" and "A Mighty Wind" all for just $6.
