I thought it was over but it's not - if you get anything from my whitesheik address via AOL that has ONLY a link in it (I NEVER EVER send links without explaining what the link is and all my e-mails have headers) do NOT click on the link.  I'm going to be sending out mass e-mails shortly and I'm afraid that all the AOL accounts are going to go bye bye after almost twenty years of having them - so a big thanks to the hackers and all of my most excellent vibes and xylophones for a quick and painful death, which cannot come soon enough for those disgusting, pathetic people.

Back from a two and a half mile jog and see there are no posts since I last posted.  After a wonderful rally a few weeks ago, it seems we're now back to the dog days of whatever.

Up from an overdue nap. Now, a few hours with "Coco Before Chanel." This is the second time around I've tried to watch this movie. Hopefully I won't run out of time or get called away like before. And, yes, I'm glad to hear they stop the story before trying to whitewash her Nazi sympathies.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  We'd been home from Lima just long enough to change clothes and turn the heat on when the phone rang.  It was Andrea, a longtime friend of mine and DR Elmore's who's in town from Atlanta this weekend.  She and her husband just stopped by for a short visit and it was great to see them!

Never been to the Windsor.

I read one article where it was the writer's favorite restaurant along with Musso's.    Chances are you would have liked it.

I watched a motion picture on dvd entitled A NEW KIND OF LOVE, one of those early 1960s' sex comedies, but, this one had a wonderful cast which kept it afloat:  Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward, Thelma Ritter, Eva Gabor, George Tobias and Maurice Chevalier.  Fluffy, very fluffy, but it was nice to see a light-hearted Newman.

Does anyone have to pay to access their local paper online?

Beginning the 19th of this month we will have to pay to read our two local papers.  They aren't very good to begin with & I only look at them for the local news & obits.  Long ago we stopped the paper since they could never figure out hold dates, plus all the recycling.  Soon I will will be out of the loop regarding the local news.

At least we will have free access to emergency info.

td when you recommended THE HISTORIAN you neglected to mention how much the darn book weighs.  I'm happily more than half way through now so my left arm, vs right shoulder, does most the work of holding it.  I'm glad I'm reading it. :)

I keep thinking I'll stop taking my local paper because there are so many days I read it online but not in paper, but there are a lot of things in the paper version that aren't online.  So, I keep taking it

We take 2 papers - our local one and Cincinnati.  The local one is pretty lame, but occasionally has something we'd hate to have missed.  And where would I get my 2 daily crossword puzzles if not for the Cincinnati Enquirer?

We cancelled the paper many years ago. I listen to the radio while driving or I read the online version.

I get a Sunday paper that I cancelled years ago.  I don't know why they deliver it every sunday, but they don't bill me and I don't really think it's my obligation to call them and tell them to stop

Will your TV stations provide updates? The newspaper here, which I hate to admit I used to work for, is so now embarrassingly devoid of local copy that I find more information on the sites for the various TV stations.

My first Vampire Diaries segment is on its way to the CW. It's long, but we'll let them decide what to cut. Fingers crossed they like it. I'm torn between working on taxes and starting the next episode...so of course, I'm here!

Today I finished setting all the little tiles for my mosaic class.  It's only a two session class, I guess more of an introduction, anyway, the tiles have to sit and dry for 48 hours before you can grout, so I finished it today so I can get the benefit of the teacher in grouting next Saturday.  She said if you don't finish you have to just grout on your own.   I'm making a trivet. It's actually fun.  I may just make trivets for Christmas gifts.  Or possibly garden stones.  I still have lots of adhesive and grout from my backsplash project, so I figured I may as well do something with it.  I really enjoyed designing the trivet.
