I really find it most unseemly to still be on Page 3, especially on my natal day.

Well, I tried to post this morning before I headed out, but Time-Warner was running v-e-r-y s-l-o-w this morning.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR JMK!

It's lucky that BK announced JMK's birthday.  If JMK had announced his own birthday - no one would have ever read it.

DR JMK, according to our DS Craig...

"As for the Lisanatti, though it is marketed as "non-dairy" it is able to melt and more closely resemble cheese because it contains casein, which is a binding agent that is extracted from milk. So, really, it isn't at all vegan."

Except that I'm not vegan.  :)  I just don't want the cholesterol or fat.

That reminds me of the mini-controversy concerning some of Pirate's Booty products.  Whole Foods has been listing two of the products as "vegan". However, one of them contains honey, which makes the vegan designation null and void.  -Honey? Who knew?

My day started with computer problems. Yesterday, while I was online at another site, something did a variation of "poof!" and the site disappeared, along with Safari. I fiddled around and somehow brought Safari back. I didn't know what I was doing--I just lucked out. I shut down the computer last night as usual. This morning when I booted up, no Safari. I called Apple Care and learned what to do, so now all is well--I think. I should take some time to learn more about Macs. I bought my MacBook to get me through my move and my gypsy period (until I get settled), but there has been so much to do that I really haven't had time to just play with it. I think my MacBook is telling me we need to get better acquainted.

DR Jeanne - If you have the time, be sure to take advantage of the free seminars and classes at your local Apple Store.

Back from a fun sound check and I think I'm going to try and do a quick jog right now.  Naturally, I've already had two messages from people who were confirmed at the Gardenia saying they wouldn't be making it.  Par for this particular course, so hoping we have a decent crowd tonight.

The first no-hitter in post-season play since 1956.

I believe my mother missed that 1956 no-hitter due to an incoming "delivery."  ;)

I've never watched Man v Food before.  It's pretty funny in a sick overstuffed way.  The new one is an obscenely big sandwich in Des Moines.  5 pounds of stuff on it

So why isn't Adam Richman about 10, 000 pounds?  I wonder if he gets sick after he eats all this food

About 3:00 PM while sitting in the jail waiting for a client, I suddenly had the worst sore throat.  I think it's allergies, but there is strep going around.

Back from a brisk mile and a half jog - hard to tell if the rain is done, but while I was jogging it sure looked like it.

okay I been meaning to post this

Has anyone noticed at the 2:31 mark of The Beauty That Drives Men Mad that the music sounds awfully familiar? I finally figured it out

The finale from "One of These Days" (1910)  As perfomed in All That Jazz. Since I've never heard any other recording of this song this is all that I have to go by

I have had a very disturbing cough for the past two days.  I had to get the doctor to give me another fix of codeine.
