It's funny but I don't remember there ever being bullies at my schools when I was little.  I'm sure it must have happened. But it never happened to me and I never saw any of it.

DR Laura, I know that you are not directly responsible for the Goldstein girls, but as long as Wae-Ling (or her sister) knows that there is someone she can talk to about the bullies, that is a big help right there.

The other way to handle bullies is to let them know that everyone is on to them and that their actions are being monitored.

Thanks again for all the wishes from after my beddie-bye time last night.  :)

Not much to report in the way of food, other than the wonderful chocolate cake that Betsy always makes.

I saw the basis of my ex-boss' appeal in the unemployment matter and I must say it confuses me.  As a very major point, he says they did not hear from me, but he knows I have e-mails that contradict this, unless he means "hear" ultra-literally as in with their ears over the phone.

I just came across this on another website that I visit.  It's from the documentary that accompanies THE MALTESE FALCON Special Edition DVD & Blu-Ray.

TOD:

LIVING:

Writer:  I really like Elan's choice of Terry Pratchett, especially now that this witty, smart man is in the first stages of Alzheimer's.  Second choice would be playwright Peter Shaffer.

Director: Sir Peter Hall

Actor: Simon Russell Beale

Singer:  Michael Feinstein...watch the 1st part of his series on PBS.  I see he is also a chronic archivist and has done a great deal for keeping the Great American Songbook alive (along with our genial host, BK).

Composer/lyricist:  Sondheim

DEAD:

Writer:  Shakespeare, whoever he was...

Director:  Billy Wilder

Actor: Laurence Olivier

Singer:  Sinatra

Composer:  Oscar Levant

Lyricist:  Lorenz Hart

I find it very interesting that Kitty Vixmom had six nipples and seven kittens and everyone got along fine. Kitty Miss Karen has six nipples and four kittens, and they fight over them.

These are the things one thinks about when one's cat wants to go outside at 3:30 a.m.

It's all about position and positioning.  The Sherman brothers wrote a great song about that for "The Slipper and the Rose".

Hey everyone.  Like Elmore, the days for sleeping in are slim to none anymore and I look forward to the days that I can - like today.  The dogs behaved and let me sleep until 8:30 or so.

The show is going well.  We are making great strides.  So much "behind the scenes" junk to deal with.  It would be so much easier if there was only a show to direct.

And that's all I have for now... but only for now.

Good Afternoon!

And after puttering around the apartment for the past few hours, it's time for me to putter outside my apartment for a few hours.

I am feeling puny so I canceled my dental appointment and headed for home, stopping first at Toyland to accomplish a few things, like printing out a lot of scores of Appendix material for THE LADY OF THE SLIPPER and clearing an office space for our new arrival tomorrow. I am calling my doctor now for an appointment next week for flu shot and tuneup.

Feel better vibes for DR Elmore

Thanks, Mikey! I think I'm just worn out from the intense recording and stress. Ron Raines just left and I told him that after I did laundry on Saturday morning, I was spending the rest of the day and all day Sunday in bed watching tv and reading. I have an appointment next Friday to see my doctor.

Everything is shipped, I've eaten a sandwich and onion rings, and there are no count them no packages for me today, which is quite annoying.

I'm at work in Oakland CA.

I've scheduled the rest of my year so that I only work four more Fridays...and the next two are NOT among them.

Where is everybody today?

I'm ordering high demand titles...adult fiction, large print, talking books and videos.  The selector has made lists, but I have to make sure that I select the correct title to order AND make sure that it's still available.  To do that, I have to check a couple of places for EVERY title.  All of that searching takes a lot of time. :P

But during all of this, I've listened to the "Unforgiven" portion of Kritzerland's latest release and now I'm listening to "The Way West."  I like them both a lot!
