Here's a flower arrangement that I received in August.  Isn't the big white flower a hydrangea?

It is indeed!

It didn't last very long as a cut flower, but it sure was beautiful when it first arrived.

TOD:

As much as I love it, I try to avoid pizza as much as possible.

It's too tempting.

However, when I was at Ray Courts' show in Chicago last month, my wife and I did share a medium pizza...and it was delicious.

DR Druxy - Did you and your wife splits a medium Chicago deep-dish pizza while you were in Chicago? Or a standard thin-crust one?
I'm making dinner plans with my cousins for when I'm in Chicago.  Bryan said to let them knew that he and his wife don't like Chicago style food, including pizza. ;D  To my surprise that also includes German food, pubs and fried meats, not that Bryan eats any meat to begin with.  His wife is not a vegetarian though.

How does that work out for them?  One eats meat and the other doesn't?  That sounds like a lot of cooking.

They are both excellent cooks. Actually Bryan is an incredible cook.   At home I'm sure they are basically vegetarian and if she wants meat she can make her own.

Shirley Knight was there and looked like she was happy.  All I cared about was seeing Pete, Linc, and Julie - aka The Mod Squad - as I said I arrived at noon and left a little after one-thirty and they were nowhere to be seen.  Really annoying.

We have two episodes of LEGEND OF THE SEEKER to watch tonight so we can mail back the disk to NetFlix.  After that we will probably watch one or two episodes of MAN V FOOD.  Last night we watched him tackle a giant pizza.  This was unusual in that he needed a partner to split the pizza with.  He might have finished his half but the partner had to go outside and barf which naturally was an immediate disqualification.  I don't think Adam was sorry either.

Cilla you wondered why he doesn't weigh more.  I think he is active enough to burn off calories.

Thank you, DR Edi!  Richard reminded me as we were walking out the door to take the camera.

How are your babies doing Laura?  Or is it just one foster cat at the moment?

They are growing, TCB. I have four. I try to get photos, but they are too busy playing to pose for me.

I met Shirley Knight at Ray Courts' Chicago show a couple of weeks ago.

A very nice lady.  She was on her way to Los Angeles to do a movie called THE ELEVATOR.

I have no idea what it's about.

Thank you for the autumn leaf photos, Ginny. We don't get much autumn color here, so I really enjoy seeing the photos.

Just checked the imdb.

Here's all they have on THE ELEVATOR:

"9 people are stuck in a Wall St. elevator - one has a bomb."

I have done my duty, BK.

I am glad that Shirley Knight looked happy.  She is wonderful.  I loved her in PLAYING FOR TIME.

I would love to get a second cat, but the thought of cleaing out the cat box twice as often keeps me from obtaining a little buddy for Freddy.

I am watching a very obscure Japanese crime film titled THE MERCILESS TRAP (1961).

It stars Makato Sato, Kumi Mizuno and all the other Toho studio regulars. The version I am watching is dubbed.

It was evidently released to American television at some point, but I surely never came across it....in fact never even heard of it until Sinister Cinema released it last week onto DVD.

Little Ricky is so cute!!

When we introduce a new kitty, we keep them in a separate room but trade toys, etc. so they get used to the scent. It took a few days but everyone got over it quickly. There's one cat we ended up with and she doesn't like any of the other cats, but that's just the way she is.

That's what I'm doing.  Ricky is ready to bolt out of the room and go all over the house, funny cat.   Callie is keeping guard outside his door mose of the time and Boo is...well she's just not happy.   We're right on track

After THE MERCILESS TRAP I may watch either MIGHTY URSUS (1961) or THE SHE DEVIL (1957).

It is nice to have choices. And it is nice to FINALLY have both of these two films on DVD.

You don't have to clean it out twice as often. You just have to scoop out twice the amount. Get a buddy for Freddy! He's probably lonely without Bosco!
