Waiting for the helper to arrive so she can box up all these orders and then we can go through the last of the boxes in storage.

DS Zach just was reading a "Graphic Novel" (we used to call those comic books) based on the Anne Francis (IIRC) TZ episode of the earth being close to the sun.

I must admit I am LOL-ing at this ridiculous PR rep's temper tantrum, which is continuing unabated.  At least she's finally emailing.  :)

I have made it through 2 of the 3 BDs in the new APOCALYPSE NOW FULL DISCLOSURE set.  Absolutely amazing transfer, I can't recommend it highly enough.  Streets next Tuesday.

Loved "Twilight Zone." And I have a book somewhere that breaks down every original episode with title, cast, synopsis and notes. That said, I don't know the titles of most of my favorites. Of course, being a foodie, there's "To Serve Mankind." Then there's the one with Burgess Meredith as the bookworm who ends up all alone in the work and it's filled with books, except he'll loose or break his glasses by the end of the episode and realize he's in a hell of his own.

These are two of my favorite episodes, also.

And the word of the day is: NEPENTHE!

Oh, there's a great restaurant in Big Sur called Nepenthe - think The Sandpiper may have been filmed there

Vibes to Little Ricky! My cow cat Elmo turned out to have ringworm after I adopted him. I didn't realize how contagious it was, so we were lucky it went no further than him, since we adopted him along with Bailey and back then they were very snuggly with each other.

Awwww...Bailey just brought me a toy mouse. He wants to play!

This is nice to hear. I'm reading that the cats most at risk are under a year old.  Ricky is just a bundle of energy, I came home this noon and played with him for about 30 minutes.  I used the cat dancer  and he played and played and played.  He finally slowed down, ate a little lunch, and went to the other side of the room.  Just enough to calm him down.  There's a nice sunny spot in his room, hopefully he'll camp out there

Thank goodness the GAP is going back to its original logo!  I don't think they realize the criticism is really directed at THEM not at the change.....

vibes to our dear TD...

Twilight Zone - the one where the deformed woman's plastic surgery didn't work, they take off her bandages, shock and horror all 'round. She'll never look normal. Then, pull back and see a classically beautiful 'patient' surrounded by grotesque 'normal' people...
Also, the guy who wants to be left the hell alone with his books... upshot, he's the only survivor of a cataclsmc event... nothing but time alone with his books! Huzzah! Then he breaks his reading glasses. Oy...
and the one where the little brat - with a major gift - keeps everyone on their toes to please him..
Guy who can't stand his life gets of the train in another time and place...
and, of course, Shatner on a plane with a gremlin.

OH! I loved the plastic surgery one.. I just saw it not long ago

RE: last night's DANCING WITH THE STARS

I really liked the acoustics part of the show. But I don't think having them dance in the round was that great. It was too small.

My favorites were Jennifer and Derek (totally amazing) and Audrina and Tony.

My two least favorite celeb dancers (The Situation and Bristol Palin) I thought were sort of wrongly berated last night. I actually felt bad for them both.  Here they are performing live in front of millions of people. And the judges were really mean to them. I thought that Karina did an amazing routing. The lifts were really good. And the routine was really fun to watch.

And Bristol, even though she's stiff as a board. She still tries and has some potential. It's weird because the first week or two i thought that the judges were being way too easy on her. But now I find them being too hard!

I have the same favorites.  Florence, The Situation and Bristol are my bottom three.  I do think Bristol has more potential of the three, she just needs to loosen up.

Things have been going too swimmingly on the Herbert recording: I got an email from my coloratura soprano who's got a lot of music to record and she's got strep throat and laryngitis and doesn't thonk she can record in next week's sessions. Even worse, her availability dates in November and January don't align with our recording schedule.

So . . . I've emailed our producer Judy to see if we can get oen more day at the Academy on Jan. 8; if not, i've got to find a new coloratura ASAP.

Hello, everyone.

Thanks to both Jack and Larry re the Pachelbel recordings. I'm looking for a CD, as I'm an old-fashioned, CD-player kind of girl.

Belated congrats to Fred and Skip!

Vibes to TD for good health and a comfortable digestive track.

TOD:

I can't recall the first TWILIGHT ZONE episode I saw, nor do I have a favorite. However, I shall be putting the entire series into my Netflix queue, so I may revisit it.
