DR Ginny - I'm sorry you and your DH Richard did not get to see "The Social Network". -And I'm truly sorry that you have to deal with such incompetence at your local movie house.

Earlier tonight, I watched the last two episodes of "Fringe," but didn't watch tonight's episode.  Instead, I watched "Grey's Anatomy" (live) and am now watching "Private Practice."  At the end of "Grey's Anatomy," they showed a flyover shot of the Space Needle, with the King Dome in the background.  However, the King Dome was torn down ten years ago!  What's that about??

Oh, my, that's quite a video, DR Jose.

Now, I need to get myself pulled back together for my movie date with DH Richard - bye for now!

Oh, yes, that is quite a video. I guess I should have included some sort of "emotional" warning.  It actually took me a couple of minutes to pull myself together too.

And thanks for the vibes for today!

We had a good screening for a 10AM weekday morning; people laughing and responding the the right places. And the panel was a lot of fun! There were 3 people from one film: 904, about how Jacksonville has one of the highest murder rates in the country (good thing I didn't know that before I took a walk along the river last night!) and the director of BREAKING AND ENTERING, about people trying to get into the Guiness Book of World Records. Our film was the first one of the festival, and some of the audience came over to the panel later. That had a light turnout, but a producer who has a studio in town came to that, a guy I used to work for 20 years ago! It was great to see him and he may have some work for me early next year.

A good friend of mine (former Turner producer) came to both events and then went out to lunch with me, the B&E folks, my "handler" and the travel coordinator and we all had a great time.

It turned out that I was the most experienced person on the panel ('cause I'm the oldest!!) and really had a lot more to say than I anticipated. My friend said that she loved seeing so much admiration lavished on my work and that I was getting the respect I deserved (that I don't get at Turner, she said.)

Now all I have left is the opening night party and opening night film, and then I'll fly home tomorrow AM. I feel happy and relieved and VERY TIRED! I'm going to sleep well tonight!

Hip, Hip, Hooray! DR Edisaurus!

Sleep well.

I just spent the past couple of minutes watching this:

Councilman Joel Burns (Ft. Worth, TX) Tells Gay Teens "It Gets Better"

And if you have 13 minutes to spare right now, I think you should too.
Powerful. Thanks for posting the link. I've seen others post it on Facebook and am glad it's getting around.

I've checked out a couple of the "It Gets Better" videos, and I have to say that this one... Well, this is the one that really got to me.

From Playbill.com: "Three-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara and Will Chase will star in the City Center Encores! production of Bells Are Ringing, ..."

Can someone tell me why? Neither seems to fit with any degree of comfort. O'Hara is too perfectly beautiful, Chase too nondescript. maybe if the roles were reversed ...

Even though Kelli O'Hara may not have been my first choice, I think she'll make a fine Ella based on her turn in The Pajama Game.

And I don't think I would ever describe Will Chase as "nondescript". ;)

DR Cillaliz - I hope your "adventures" with Little Ricky become less "adventurous" and more fun soon.
