I just remembered that I got "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" from Netflix.  I'm watching it now.

Went to a soup party tonight where six soups were served. None was hot. Most needed salt and not a shaker in sight. Five were loaded with starches that I shouldn't be eating. Am I complaining?

It was also a pumpkin carving party. Though I didn't do a jack-o'-lantern, I did bring home the seeds, which I've toasted and topped with a great Chilean spice called merken. Just realized why I like the spice so much: tastes like hot dogs.

A friend talked me into joining her in a dance routine for an upcoming holiday show. I couldn't make the Wednesday rehearsal, so I showed up today. She didn't. I learned the entire routine with someone else. When I got home, I found a voice mail from her saying she wasn't doing the show any more. Agh.

got a bit more work to do tomorrow, but I'm hopeful to find a couple of hours to watch "South Pacific." It's kind of like a reward for getting at least one article done. And my essay for my grad school application.

Well, the ending of "Fallen Angel" has somehow redeemed the movie. And I really like the theme song, "Slowly," which was co-written by an old acquaintance, Kermit Goell.

My art dealer pal has left the premises - we ended up doing a little trading - he got some stuff I had in the garage that I really didn't care about that much, and I got two incredible pieces in return - one of them is by Edwin Georgi - a story illustration for Redbook, I think - magnificent and I have the perfect wall for it.  Then another wonderful piece from Better Homes magazine (I think that's what it's called) from 1954 - very 1950s, a story illustration, and the model for the woman is instantly recognizable, I must say - Tippi Hedren.
