A woman who I have been friends with for probably forty years, sent me an e-mail pleading to let her move in with me until she gets her IRS refund in April.  I felt terrible, but I had to say "no."

April is a long time from now.  It would be hard for me to agree with that

Spent the afternoon viewing WINTER'S BONE, which took home the Jury Prize at Sundance this year.  Depressing stuff, but filled with incredible performances.

And here's the NY Times' more complete obit for Barbara Billingsley.  (The earlier one was an abstract on the Times blog.)

Have done the Facebook announcement for the next Kritzerland at the Gardenia show.  Druxy is on his way over - a good thing since I'm ready to pass out from hunger.

I have posted a series of four videos on Facebook, memorializing Miss Dixie Bell's  cemetery walk.

Thanks, DR Cillaliz.  Iowa deserved that win and Michigan did not play as well as their score and stats will indicate.  Could Rich Rod have looked any MORE bored?

I've actually had a nice day.  I was at the office briefly, got the mail and sent something that needed to go out  right away.  Went to the farmers market and the grocery store, spent a lot of time with Ricky and the girls, did some cooking, ran the vacuum in Ricky's room, tore off a little of the wall paper in there (so i'm committed to changing the room)...

LOL, I didn't watch the whole game, but it's the first one I've watched in a long time.

Now I'm watching Wisconsin/Ohio State and hoping the Badgers can hold on to beat the Buckeyes.

I've got the game on...nothing else too interesting on tonight.  I was watching Cats 101, but the meowing was upsetting Boo. She's not at all pleased that there's a stranger in our midst.  Especially since he's in the guest room.  The girls love that room

There were just too many factors.  First of all, she has a dog, a small dog, but a dog none the less.  Secondly, she smokes - a lot.  And even though she couldn't smoke in the apartment, the smell would still invade my home.  I feel very selfish, but I just can't have someone else taking up half of my living space.

However, if Jake Gyllenhaal should need a place to stay for the next seven months, I might reconsider.

After my former housemate separated from his wife (of only about six months) and then got divorced, he asked if he could move into my condo.  I said that I'd never live with anyone again unless we were having sex.  He never asked me again. ;)

I hope you know I'm not criticizing you TCB.

Of course, I do.  What I meant when I said you have a house is that even with a house, you realize how impossible the situation would be for you or for me.  If she had asked for a place to stay for a week while your apartment was being repainted; well, we could probably have figured out something.  But she is asking to stay almost seven months with a dog and several cartons of cigarettes in my little two bedroom apartment.
