Hello, everyone.

Congrats to Ginny on her weight loss. I'll soon be in a smaller pair of jeans myself, but boy is it harder as you get older! Ugh!

Re: marble cleaner. I used to have a lot of marble. I used standard marble polish on the table tops, which always worked well. For floors I used the cleaner recommended at the store where I bought the marble. Can't recall the name, but it's a standard product. It was also nontoxic (good for those of us with allergies).

TOD:

Many moons ago there was a short French film called HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, which I liked very much. I'm sure there are others, but nothing is coming to mind.

Wow...I have NEVER seen these color photos from CFTBL

Nice! Makes you wonder how those films would have looked in color!

Last night, when I was heating up my doggie bag from the Indian lunch BK and I had, I noticed that the take-out container had "Muchos Gracias" written into the styrofoam. I got a chuckle out of that.

Woo and hoo!  For my at-home day I'm wearing a pair of jeans that I haven't been able to get into for I can't remember how long.  So there is some benefit to this diet and exercise routine!
I want the no-exercise, no-diet routine to work. Just haven't figured out how.

Re the marble (again). If the floor has been sealed, and it probably has been, then cleaning it should be fairly safe. It SHOULD be sealed, though.

I bought the tile for my marble countertops and floor from Architectual Ceramics in Alexandria, VA. You could call them at 703-299-6200 and ask what they recommend (since I can't recall the name of the product).

Sad about Tom Bosley. Guess I'll dig out "Fiorello" now. Was anything ever recorded from "H*Y*M*A*N K*A*P*L*A*N"?

Yeah, I tried that one for far too long, DR John G, and couldn't make it work.  I don't recommend my "motivating factor," though...

Acupuncture. Oh, you want the no-exercise, no-diet, no-needles way?

Seriously, acupuncture does help with weight loss.

Thanks, DR Jeanne!  These are by no means skinny jeans, but being able to wear them does represent some progress that I've had trouble documenting on the scale.

Tom Bosley

has passed away

In 1989, I orchestrated the California Music Theatre production of STRIKE UP THE BAND, directed by an idiot, and starring Mr Bosley, and Donny Most, both of HAPPY DAYS. Mr Most was friendly and a delight, Mr Bosley was about as friendly as a poisonous toad. He was aloof, unpleasant, and spent most of the time on the phone, probably bitching at his agent to get him out of the production. The director was a complete horror.

Today's session went really well, with wonderful performers. Everyone's happy.

Being scared of the needles is enough to get me to exercise. No, DR Ginny, I will try not to follow your course of action.

I apologize for sending us into Cinemascope!

I am so sorry I missed this production. Here's a NT TIMES videoclip of my friend Steven LaBrie as the Miller in the children's opera "Puss In Boots," which was directed by Moises Kaufman, who created THE LARAMIE PROJECT.

Happy Days is opening? On Broadway?

No, it's opening in California if I recall correctly. They don't need to bring it to Broadway. It probably would not be treated well by the critics AND it played at Goodspeed in Connecticut, again if I recall correctly.
