Went to the book signing - I got a couple of things while I was there - a new book that has lots of Hitchcock memorabilia in it, and Patti Lupone's memoir.  And my friend's book, which she signed quite nicely to me.

Then watched a motion picture on DVD - too chilly for a jog, I'm afraid, but tomorrow for sure.

And on the happiest note of all, two of my clients who were previously considered to be in the country illegally got their green cards today!!   One is a 16 year old artist.  I took the case pro bono and he's going to paint me something as payment.   He won an art contest here, so who knows...
great stories.

110 only a few weeks ago and now too chilly. Love the consistent weather patterns we've been having.

We are off now on a mission of mercy for my mother - to buy Scotch and deliver it to her.  She's been out for a while and says she can't sleep without it.  Who's gonna argue with someone who turns 92 next month?

I probably won't be back until after my book group meeting tonight - bye for now!

I say let them drink Scotch!
Ditto.

Even when I drank, I couldn't stand the taste of scotch.

I LOVE good aged scotch!!!  No ice for me. :)

I could tell that my mom had been watching Fox news when she told me how angry she was at the government.

I asked her what she was so angry about. She said that she didn't like the government telling her what she could and could not do. I asked her what was it that she wanted to do that the government would not allow her to do. She couldn't think of anything and then she got mad at me.

I tried to help her out by asking if it was that she just wanted to be able to murder someone, or take dope, or run red lights, or what.

She didn't talk to me for a whole week.
LOL.

Great stories today. Am having a few good laughs catching up. Wish my day had been a little humorous. Instead, I'm still fighting with the publisher of the magazine over getting paid for the last issue. Actually my colleague is doing the fighting, but it's stressful enough hearing what she's going through.

After having a very strange night of sleep - strange because I didn't feel like I had slept even though I knew that I had - I hopped on a Bolt Bus down to DC.  Then took the subway out to Arlington, where my brother, Jay, picked me up.  Then we hung out with my parents and some old family friends for a few hours, and then we headed to my nephew's favorite restaurant, TGI Friday's, for his birthday dinner.  And then I ended up meeting up with a friend of mine who happened to get stuck at Dulles for a few hours.

All in all, a very good day.
