Lucky you, DR GEORGE! I went to Jazz Alley on one of my many trips to Seattle. I'm glad to hear it's still there. Have a great time!

I'll be leaving in an hour to attend the pre-show party and then the opening of Happy Days, The Musical, and then the after-party.  Thankfully, the show is not long.  The pre-show party is honoring Garry Marshall, so he'll be there and so will Paul Williams, the composer/lyricist.  I'll be curious to see this production - I did not care for the tour production or the writing of same.

Thanks, Jeanne.

And on that note (C-natural), I'm leaving!  Be back later...much later! ;D

bk - Sounds like you had another successful LACC event.  -Is there any chance that LACC archives these, your events via video, web or just audio?

Nope - I've asked them to in the past, but they never do.

I, for one, think that LACC is really missing the boat here. Have they not heard of technology?

I had a doctor's appointment this morning that had nothing to do with my injured foot. Since I was there anyway--and there's no way she wouldn't notice--I asked her opinion about my foot. "HOW'D you do that?" she asked.  Funnily, she told me that she's broken both of her feet, and one of them in the same place that I injured mine. She didn't think she'd broken it; it was only after a week, when it wasn't healing, that she had a X-ray and learned that she had a break. But hers swelled up immediately, whereas mine didn't swell or discolor until the following day. She told me to wrap my foot in an elastic bandage when I go for my daily walk/hobble, elevate it as much as possible, and if it isn't better by Monday to get an X-ray. (It WILL be better by Monday.)

Thanks to DR GEORGE, I stopped by the Japanese variety store that I so love. I always find something of interest there. I bought a little something for George and a little something for me.  :)

I was telling my story about visiting the Tomato Bank. So much for that. I then ate lunch at an interesting Japanese restaurant. It's been a rather Asian day.

I almost ordered PRETTY MAIDS ALL IN A ROW with Angie's signature, but then I remembered how terrible a movie it was.

Brenda Sykes, who plays one of the students, was a client back then.  She told me that Vadim insisted that all the actresses playing students be on the set every day, even if they were not scheduled to work.

I'm sure that rule wouldn't have been in effect if they were actors playing male students.

TOD:  in a sort of amusing concatenation of review titles, I am watching both GOOD and SUCK today.  We shall see if either title is truth in advertising.  :)

I've also been in a Celtic mood for listening purposes, probably due to the misty weather we're having.  Listening to Relativity, an obscure but very good Celtic group.

I might be interested in buying one of those titles!

DR Druxy - Just in case: I never commented on "My Name Is Julia Ross" either. ;)

The first time DR Druxy mentioned that film, I thought it was MY NAME IS JULIUS LA ROSA.

DR George - Congrats on your new modem! -And congrats that the installation process was "pleasant" too. ;D

Thanks...it was almost worth the aggravation.  I say "almost" because he very nonchalantly mentioned his wife and kids while we chatted about computer games and SuperNintendo (he saw mine under my TV). ::)

;)

He saw your what?

My sister and her husband arrived about 6pm and we ordered pizza for dinner.  It was nice to visit with them a bit before they head out to see Mom and settle into their lodgings for the night.  My pizza was just crust, tomatoes, green peppers, mushrooms and easy on the cheese.  Funny, no one wanted to share it...

DR GINNY - DR MBARNUM is correct, at a certain point everything will even out before you start showing a weight loss again.....you are replacing fat with muscle, and muscle weighs more than fat......measuring in inches will help you know that you are still losing.

Mike, let me know when you're coming to LA and, if possible, I'll take you there. In any case, I'll let you know where it is. It's in the middle of a Japanese business district, which I find quite interesting.

Ginny, people seldom want to share what I eat, either. To his credit, BK tasted some of my Indian food last weekend. He didn't like it, but he did taste it. As for the other things I eat, well, few are interested. But I feel a LOT better when I'm careful about my diet. It has its advantages.

Thanks for all the weight-loss insights.  Some of my Facebook friends have also provided encouraging input, but the best was from my sister.  I walked down to the bottom of the driveway to meet them and she said, "Wow!"

Does anyone (DR JOSE) know any cast members of the current A CHORUS LINE tour?  it's coming here

;)

I do know a couple of the current touring cast members. They're good. They're young.* But they're good.

*Actually, most of them are closer to the actual ages that they are portraying than some of original Broadway revival cast were.  -Or something like that.

Then I shall buy a ticket.  How about the tour of Mama Mia. It's coming back again
