Yes DR GINNY - but some folks jus' doan haf no manners.

DR RLP - how could I forget TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD?

Too obvious a choice, perhaps?

Maybe he just overlooked my mention of it!

Mayhaps he did.  I know I didn't see it until after my first post.  I had it fresh on my mind so I posted first before reading any of the others.

BK, isn't it a wonderful feeling to get all that stuff organized!

I am in a constant state of organization, it seems, but moving has given me a chance to get a lot more of it done.

I'm in a perpetual state of dis-organization. ;)

Hello, everyone.

I enjoyed MBarnum's stroll around his 'hood in pictures. I envy the fall color.

TOD:

I'm not a fan of Southern food. I used to travel to the South a lot on business, and, believe me, I wasn't in the nicest spots. I'm sure they exist; maybe some day I'll see them.

As for films/plays/authors, I've always been a big fan of Lillian Hellman. I also enjoy Carson McCullers.

Oh, and DR Ben, I enjoyed your wit the other day regarding shin guards and helmets being needed at Trader Joe's. Yes, some TJ's get very crowded indeed!

Back from a little lunch at the Studio Cafe - just one of their scrambles and a bagel.  It's VERY windy here, and a huge portion of a huge tree came off just up the street from me.

Perhaps you can use it for the set for "Someone in a Tree" for an upcoming Gardenia show.  :)

One negative to this move is that it has interrupted my reading. I had begun two books...DR Druxy's book and an old dime store mystery novel...and I have not been able to finish either one yet...but soon, I hope, as both books are excellent!

I hope you don't get these books confused.

Mine is the one without the murder in it.

I believe that makes you the first ever publicist who didn't want to at least try to kill one of your clients.

Actually, several of my clients were murdered...but not by me.

I like the father and daughter team and the Shop At home hosts. They are my faves.

I also like Vicki, the pierced girl, but I don't like her  boyfriend.

Good morning, all! I slept well, and I have a lot of typing today; my next job as General Factotum for this Herbert recording project is to provide for the print work all of the lyrics for the songs. I will begin with the lieder since they entail both the German text and an English translation.

I guess that means that you will follow the lieder.

Wednesday we are going to the Indiana State Museum to see the Titanic Artifact Exhibit.

I hope you enjoy it, Jrand.  Do you know if this is the exhibit that contains the section of the hull?  I used to know where the hull piece was all the time, but I have kind of stopped following it.

DR Jose - have you been to the new Central Park visitor center that's in the Tavern on the Green building?

DR Ginny - I haven't. Yet. -Of course, the main attraction for me are the food trucks/stands that have taken up residence up there. ;)  However, I may be heading there tomorrow afternoon, and, if so, I shall file a full report tomorrow night.

As for the Topic of the Day... The Food Portion...

Pimento Cheese
Fried Egg Sandwiches
Tomato Sandwiches
Deviled Eggs
Cheerwine
Scrapple - Yes, I love me some good scrapple!
Shrimp 'n' Grits - Which is just a Southern(?) adaptation of Seafood served with Polenta.
Cornsticks - Cornbread is good, but the crust-to-bread ratio in a cornstick is perfect, imho!
Hummingbird Cake
