Not even XANADU DR JOSE....not even XANADU......the dancing muse chorus was so good, they even made Olivia shine.....the "I'm Alive" number with NO street moves or bop or break dancing....showed each of them to be the classically trained dancers they were....and the title number with roller skating and all the other stuff.....pretty magical....  Not the WHOLE movie to be sure.....but bits and pieces here and there.

The word "gaga" does make it seem like it should be a natural, but it doesn't even fall in a place where you could use Lady Gaga.

I have to add Legally Blonde to that.  I thought the show was fantastic and it remains one of my top 5 r so favorite shows.

I do realize the above statement coupled with my fondness for Lord Andrew is getting me closer and closer to getting kicked out of here for good!

DR Matthew - Actually, Legally Blonde is a very good choice.  If anything, you're restoring your cred with that selection. ;)

I like Sir Andrew.....LEGALLY BLONDE....not so much.....but I didn't like the movie either, so I'm no expert on the show.....only saw it as broadcast on MTV a few years ago....and a sad number on the Tony Awards a couple of seasons ago.

As reported here previously, Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol looks spectacular on Blu-ray.  Lots of extras, too.

I will have to wait till I get home to attempt Drop That Name 2010 since I don't have a recording of the original handy.

TOD:

Original Screen Musical:
SINGING IN THE RAIN--I like how the creative team took a bunch of MGM trunk songs and evolved them into production numbers that thouroughly entertaining and smartly placed.  And like any great musical also has a good book, SITR has a terrific screenplay.

Runners Up:
42nd STREET
MEET ME IN ST LOUIS

Adapted Screen Musical:
THE MUSIC MAN -- Aside from its faithfulness to the stage show and the wonderful performances from every single cast member, the screenplay and direction is witty--this is a movie that could have easily been dumbed-down and overly sentimentalized.

Runners Up:
CABARET
WEST SIDE STORY

Patti LaBelle, Lea Michele ,Theo Bikel and dear Marin Mazzie
T.R. Knight and Judith Light, Jeffrey Wright, the stars of Miss Daisy
Audra McD and Kristin C and Bernadette
Colin Quinn....and Rin Tin Tin

Cilla you need this t-shirt: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:KWtW7djLun4J:www.zazzle.com.au/one_can_never_have_too_many_cats_tshirt-235196702591382683+t-shirt+%22you+can+never+have+too+many+cats%22&cd=4&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a

I was looking for the shirt Keith got me after I got our 3rd & 4th cat. It was the same saying with a couch covered in cats.  Though I admit after having four cats I suggest to people they stop at three.

Try reminding the folks with four children you are rescuing, not adding to overpopulation ;)

Good news about Callie.
