Now you can't post anything until George gets home from work so he can save it.

Or I could do it.

Back from a mile and a half jog - it's like summer out.

I gotta tell you.  Shortly I'll go do some errands and whatnot and hopefully pick up a package or three.

Brrrr, it's cold here today.  I was not going to go biking anymore since it's cold. But I decided to keep biking as long as it is 40F or higher and sunny and not too windy.

I went today. It was around 40F. Brrr, that really is cold. I had 3 layers, tights, pants...  It is cold the first 5 minutes. But once i get around the lake it is perfect. So it's just 5 minutes of briskness.  I think I will go tomorrow. But thurs/fri are supposed to be rain. And sat/sun will be too cold.

It's warm here. And I just caught and tagged a male monarch that has been hanging around my backyard for the last week. He was FAST -- until that last time I swung my net at him.

I hiked later than usual today & was able to remove my two light top layers as I warmed up and walk in a t-shirt.

Off to Dayton - bye for now!

Safe Travels and Fun Times To You, DR Ginny!

Thank you, DR Jose!  I made it there and back again without incident.  On the way, I voted and picked up my library books.  Home now and about to have a light supper with Richard before he goes to Messiah rehearsal.

Hello, everyone.

George, I'm got your packge arrived on time. I hope nothing got mangled and that you enjoy them. Do you have either of them already?

Since then, I've been taking care of emails and rescheduling my week. I'm sure the keg is healing nicely...

I knew about Larry's ailing KNEE, but I didn't realize the KEG was injured as well!! Oh, dear!  ;)

Since I LOVE both SINGING IN THE RAIN and MUSIC MAN, I'll to with those. But I also love WEST SIDE STORY.

One of my old Bi-Mart coworkers found me on Facebook. Hadn't seen her since the 1980s when she moved to Alaska and wondered what had become of her. And what is quite coincidental is that just the other day I was  thinking about her and wondering what she was doing now (and also trying to remember her last name).

As reported here previously, Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol looks spectacular on Blu-ray.  Lots of extras, too.

Oohh, I have to get that! Not Blu-ray, but the DVD. I loved that when I was a kid.

TOD:
Stage to screen: THE MUSIC MAN--I remember seeing it at the drive-in when we lived in Seattle. We couldn't afford to go to the movie theatre, but the Sunset Drive-In was a cheap form of family entertainment and we used to win free admission all the time, too! My parents would usually buy the soundtrack for any musical we saw so I played this album to death and know it by heart.

Other favorites: CABARET, HALF A SIXPENCE, PAINT YOUR WAGON (even with Clint...) LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS

Screen only: THE 5,000 FINGERS OF DR. T, SCROOGE, POPEYE, THE HAPPIEST MILLIONAIRE, DR. DOOLITTLE (the Rex Harrison version!) THE SONG OF NORWAY

I guess LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS is a screen to stage...to screen...

Another original I forgot about: THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW.

I've been E and T again---I seem to be away quite a bit. We went to Athens, GA for the weekend to see my beloved musical hero, Van Dyke Parks, play at a music festival there. It was a great new venue, and we went with my best friend and Van Dyke's nephew, who is also a dear friend.

This was the end of the very first tour he's ever done. When we saw him in Ohio, he seemed very tired and hadn't hit his stride performing live yet, but the Athens show was fantastic.

I also highly recommend the group he's been touring with: CLARE AND THE REASONS. Fun, unusual music performed by talented musicians, most who live in Brooklyn. Very nice people, too!

We spent several hours with Van Dyke afterwards; he was in rare form and very funny!
