I have found mild sedatives helpful for some cats while most have adjusted without them. I will double check but I believe his cat will be ok without one, she just won't be happy. This cat flew from Romania to New York and has lived in three states now. I think she knows the routine.

Had you added another cat sooner you might not have had the same excellent results with the mix.
