The Quad. It's between 5th and 6th Avenue on 13th Street. We will be waiting for you with your ticket. Take the 1, 2 or 3 to 14th Street. If you sit in the middle of the train you can get out at 13th Street and walk one and a half blocks east and you're there. It's the same place we saw Sacco and Vanzetti.

You think this old coot remembers where he saw "Sacco & Vanzetti?"

Went and had some lunch and thought about Michelle - I don't want to be sad - she wouldn't like that - I just want to celebrate that she was one of the nicest, kindest, most genuine people ever put on the planet, and to remember what magic we made in the studio - I'd forgotten it was four albums (I always forget the sequel to Toonful).

I may not be going to dinner if my leg is unhappy after sitting for a long period, but I will wait to see how things go.

Wish I could be there for Jews and Baseball, but I'll be here for Jews and Couches.

Two weeks from now, you CAN be there, Blanche, you CAN!

Good morning, all! I slept past 9 am, but I am now bathed and dressed. I have some time to spend at the NYPL at Lincoln Center today, and I hope to head down there around 11, stop at the 68th Street post office to mail a package, and hobble over to the library. This damned leg got a good rest last night but it isn't recuperating as quickly as I want it to.

I have little else to report. Last night's dreams involved a trip to Sondheim's home for him to sign some things and a shopping with his assistant. In retrospect, though, it wasn't a visit to Steve's actual home, but more like a trip to the Dakota on West 72nd.

Darn!  I should have gotten my copy of Mr Sondheim's book to you for him to sign in your dream...

Just talked to my friend Mark at the Natural History Museum, and I am glad to give an update on Uranus. Last time I was hear they were trying to find a crane that would fit so they could lower it, and last night at 3AM, the crack in Uranus was repaired.

I can't find headphones - I know I had two pairs of excellent headphones and they are nowheresville - probably hidden in one of the forty boxes in the garage, I should imagine.  But for some reason I can't figure out which input the wiring guy used for my DAT player, so in order to listen to a couple of DATS I need headphones.  Guess I'll go buy a pair.

Just picked up Zach from his week at Outdoor School.  The kid has grown several inches, I swear.  Great quote from Zach--I asked him if he had ever gotten homesick.  "Nope, they made the place as homely as possible."  Love that.
