Since I wasn't getting anything done today, I went out and bought one of those great big cat climber/tree/perch whatever you call them.  It's almost 5 feet tall with three platforms.   Ricky keeps eyeing my book case, so I decided to give him a place to roost that won't hurt anything.  I think they'll really like it.

I love those.  I thought about getting one of those for Craig's cat.  Since we don't expect them to stay too long I'll wait until later to decide.  I do need to get an enclosed litter box.

Oh Jane, I wish I could give you the one in my living room.  I bought if for Angel and Nicky, but Angel climbed on more than Nicky ever did.  Since Angel died, I think Nicky has only climbed on it once.

Callie and Ricky have already been on mine,  I think it's going to be Ricky's permanent spot.  He loves it.

I didn't realize Kurt Warner played at the University of Northern Iowa and didn't start until his senior year.   Hmmm.  Still not cheering for him, but I find that interesting

Watching a motion picture on Blu and Ray and am thinking about doing a quick job, although it's quite chilly out.

I miss Barrymore's. It was a great place for decent food and good company. It was unknown to many tourists. The real estate boom of the mid-21st Century made the leaseholders greedy. Now the lot sits empty with only our memories.

So do I, DR Ben!  Here's one of my favorite HHW photos:

It looks more like THE BROTHERS KARAMAZOV.

Says one of the Three Sisters!

Hello, DR TCB!

Hello my dear friend.  It is better to be mistaken as a Brother Karamazov than an ice princess!

I still remember your hesitancy on the way to JMK's house & your excitement on the way back to the hotel. ;)

Usually it's the other way around.  :)

Are you sure it wasn't relief you saw on my face as we left ;)

;D I definitely remember the relief in your voice.

I appreciate the offer, and will keep it in mind if Craig happens to find a job out your way.

Ok, you TV gurus....why do the HD channels on my set keep freezing.   The cable guy came out and changed the cord from where it comes in the living room to the DVR box.  It didn't help. They are coming back on Friday, but not until then.  I asked if I can change my box and they said to wait.  I told them that I can't afford to keep taking off work to be here if they are going to keep coming over and not fixing it.     So, is there anything I can do to see if I can fix it myself?

I can't sign off for the night without wishing BK and all of my dear friends,

HAPPY 10TH ANNIVERSARY!

Thank you BK for hosting this non-stop party in your living room for the past ten years.  And thank you to one and all for being a caring and a loving family to me all these years.

There is no place like HHW anywhere on the Internet!

Happy Tenth, BK and Mr. Haines!  I joined this merry band when I happened on Mr. Kimmel doing a Benjamin Kritzer reading at our favourite bookstore in Glendale, Mystery and Imagination (aka Bookfellows).  I had just come into browse, but knew of Mr. Kimmel by reputation and having had many of his CDs (we had also been briefly introduced by the bookstore owners several years before).  Anyway, we got to chatting after the reading and hit it off, finding we had much in common, and he suggested that I would be an ideal candidate for an interview on Haines His Way.  Always willing to yak about myself, I agreed, we exchanged emails, he sent me questions, I answered them, and I started following his daily jottings and the message board, we went out to dinner at Musso and Frank's a few weeks later, cemented the friendship, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Oh...I also bought the first two Benjamin Kritzer books that day of the reading and read the first that night, laughing uproariously.

I thought I had saved the info from my first post, along with the date of it.  Had I gone searching for Bruce a few days earlier I might have been included on the first page.  Of course too soon and I would have completely missed this wonderful gathering.

I'm not going to search now because my eyes wanted to stop looking at the computer ages ago & I have dishes to do.
