I use the Post Office Zip Code search site frequently in my daily work and I've had that same problem. The zip code is correct but for some reason it doesn't appear in the Zip Code database AT THE POST OFFICE. I would think a company knows their zip code

BK,

I recall seeing THE PEACEMAKER when it was first released on DVD.

I thought it was entertaining, but totally forgettable.

I'm going to be the speaker at the meeting of the Network Austin Mixer TODAY. 6 PM at the 501 Studios.

I hope all my Austin (and San Antonio) friends can be there.

DR Elmore - it's possible I may be part of a production of The Most Happy Fella next year and because of house size, we may end up using the two piano arrangement.  What do you know about it?  And/or, what are your feelings about it?

I love the score, it's one of my favorites.

I think it's a fine alternative to the orchestra and just the thing for a small production. I'd much rather hear 2 pianos than 5-12 players trying to tackle a 35-piece orchestration and losing. I bet the 2-piano reduction at Goodspeed sounded wonderful, although when I saw ithat production on Broadway in a large theatre - much as I loved the production and cast - I felt I was sitting at a gypsy runthru.

And today - when I brought additional information AND a telephone number - the SAME GIRL was able to use the zip code on the package!

Wednesday morning greetings!  We are finalizing preparations for our family gathering tomorrow afternoon/evening.  I will do the major grocery shopping after my cardiac rehab session this afternoon and get the living/dining room as ready as I can tonight.  It's a pretty casual party, but there's still a lot to do.

Vixmom, one of my biggest mistakes as a husband, and one which DW Wife Betsy will probably never let me forget, is not giving her any sympathy one day for a bad stomachache she had which of course turned out to be appendicitis, for which she needed surgery.  My error is usually trotted out at the height of some other completely unrelated "discussion" we're having which involves my rampant stupidity.  :)

Oatmeal, dried cherries, pecans, cinammon and coffee.

What six things won't you find in a quart of Haagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream?

Watched two new-to-me movies from the 1930s last night:  "Murder in the Penguin Pool" and "Murder on a Honeymoon"!

The star of each was Edna Mae Oliver portraying schoolteacher-detective Hildegarde Martha Withers.

Enjoyed them immensely!

Re: "Dancing With the Stars"

Does anyone think Bristol Palin's resilience has to do with the hopeful optimism that she seems to exude despite her personal, graceless clunkiness?

Or is she being propped up by the same sort of cabal that saw Taylor Hicks through to winning American Idol a few years back?

Oy, I've had a needlessly stressful last few hours.  Weeks ago I was madly throwing old files away in a (vain) attempt to get this new house cleaned up.  Yesterday I started having the nagging pit in the stomach feeling that I had thrown away a very important document pertaining to our oil tank decommissioning at the old house.  I spent all of this morning looking for it to no avail.  I knew our realtor had made a copy, so I left a message for him, and I called the Oregon DEQ and left a message for them.  Well, I just looked inside one of the hundreds of closets ( ;) ) in this house and found my file box with the info in it.  Whew.

"Moue!" said Elsie discontentedly.
