Loved the pictures from DR GEORGE yesterday.

Thanks for the NJ BRAINEX report, DR ELMORE.....sorry about your transportation ordeal.

And vibes for DR JANE - maybe he was having a bad day....and decided to pick on the next person who was in line....or maybe he had just lost a dollar in the vending machine and didn't get his coffee.

My guess is most of the cast of THE LAST STARFIGHTER loved getting the gifts and ONE fool didn't - the one with a computer....

I have found cards and small gifts I have given to cast members left in the dressing room or in THE TRASH on closing night....which is fine, I usually don't cast those people again.  And it is usually people who thought they should have had the lead or a BIG part - when they were LUCKY to be in the ensemble, it was mercy casting anyway.....

If someone that I don't like gives me a card or a gift - I say thank you - and throw it away at home....or if it is unique, I keep it, for itself.....not for the giver.

Good morning, all! My only pressing matter is a meeting at 11:30 at the Frank Loesser offcie. I do have a US post office stop to send a carton of CDs to my brother's house so I don't have to schlep it on the plane.

DR Dakotacelt, it was so good to see you on last night's posts, but I am sorry to learn this harassment and ugliness is still continuing. Get a small recording device and tape every conversation with these asses, also call the Civil Liberties Union. I think they'd love this case.

I have nothing else to report at the moment so let us move on to the TOD:
THE REF
CHRISTMAS STORY
ELF

DR George, 1776 gave me a start and then I realized, yes, it is a holiday! Good for you. Now what the world needs is a really good movie for Valentine's Day or for Thanksgiving.

CNN.COM asks:

Will Lame Duck Congress Settle Differences or Scores?

LOL....as if we didn't know the answer to THAT one.

DR JMK - thanks for the picture of the dog AND Miss Baker on the Saturday Evening Post cover.....I commented on it a couple of times, but I guess you didn't see it.

DR MBARNUM - every time I go to King's Island in Ohio.....I make it a tri-state trip and end up across the river in Kentucky.

It was nice to see DR DakotaCelt. I am so sorry about your troubles. I like DR Elmore's taperecording idea.  Take care of yourself. And definitely complain. You should not have to go through this.

Yes, Laura, it is called Scrooge and it stars Albert Finney. I love that movie.

It was also turned into a stage production in 1992 in England starring Anthony Newley with music and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse

Almost caught up on a number of projects, which feels good. But that might mean I have to start cleaning house, which does not. Anybody have a spare snow shovel to help me get started?

I'm going to have to give "Scrooge" another chance the year, since it has made so many lists. It's been too long since I've seen it.

I noticed yesterday that my Christmas cactus has little buds on it, so that can mean only one thing:  Thanksgiving is coming!

I also noticed that a few of my neighbors have put up their Christmas lights this weekend.  But no one has turned them on yet.

I know the stores need a good Christmas this year, but the season is being stretched out awfully long this year. Or is it my imagination.
